• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Well, conventional wisdom wins again

I have a neighbor with a GoPro, and his videos are no better that the ones I took with my $6 (ebay) video spy camera, attached with velcro to my bike. I now have a HD waterproof video camera that's svelte, and operates with one button. BTW, with accessories, it costs $48 delivered, it's ram...

    Front Spring Tensioners

I have them, and used two on each side. Super easy to install (under 10 minutes start to finish), remove, or move - as needed. I haven't scraped my front tupperware since I installed them. Baja Ron's will be much prettier, more expensive, and more difficult to install and adjust.

No, the van wasn't a hybrid... or peddle powered... or rented from Zip Car, so he couldn't be from Portland.

    rs to rt and pricing

You might consider having an oil change done, just because. A good dealer should verify all the updates at that time, and those should be free.

O'Reilly's didn't have it in quarts, so I bought two gallons - at $21/gallon (w/no tax!!)

    rs to rt and pricing

I wish I were that young... I went from a 2009 RS to a 2010 RT, and loved the RT. Your quoted price is terrific! Be sure there's not a lurking problem on that bike - a quick check by a dealer should give you some piece of mind.

My 38yo son has been an avid ATV duner since he was 5 years old. Yesterday, he sold his beloved Honda 700XX to a 20 something gent from Washington state, and he had a unique way to transport his new ATV. Note: he rolled it up the hood & windshield, and my son left very quickly thereafter - not...

    Hard time deciding!

Given I have the same issue - if you are tall, the RT with floorboards would be the ticket. Under 6', either the F3 or ST are worthy contenders.

    The F4 Extra Wide/Tall Windshield

MRH, I get that. If you are vertically challenged, the F4 Tall/Wide would probably be too much. Neither of the stock 25" BRP windshields come above chin level on me, in the FULL UP position. The vented windshield is much narrower than stock, and lets my hands get cold and wet. The F4...

Need your help to make the Spyder's "Build Your Own" tool better!

Done. It is a plus to know that the manufacturer (BRP) actually follows/reads the forum.

    The F4 Extra Wide/Tall Windshield

First, I'm very tall, and so is my wife (6'4"/5'11"), and we don't own or want full face helmets. The F4 is the third windshield I've had on my Spyder - stock 25" touring, 25" touring, and F4 3+ wide with vent. As a driver, I can't feel the wind difference between the stock and F4+, however...

Another Oil Change Thread for the 1330s

I have been unable to find any full synthetic 5w40, non SL rated, oil in the Portland area. 10w40, 10w50, 0w40, 0w50 yes - even those are mostly SL rated. I found a dealer that could ORDER 5w40 Amsoil, at $13/quart... but only in case (6q) quantities - so I'd have to order 12q to get enough...
