• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Thanks for the additions - personally, I think it's a lot of fun to see what led up to our Spyders. Lots of fun street iron, so far....

    Early Spring?

I don't think our birds left this year - we have had two frosty days (that's frost, not snow). No flakes, no ice... rain's no big thing up here, we get it all the time, all year long, but it's been riding weather almost all winter. There's a cold front coming through this week, and dropping...

    New to the Spyder World

Be sure to read the newbe files! It takes 200 to 300 miles to adjust to riding a Spyder, and think about not "white knuckling" the bars - hold them loosely - enjoy!!

    Why $500.

As are yours John - I have put them on both of my RTs, and the comfort provided is worth every dime. This is one of those things where someone else has done the development work and I paid a fair price for that, as I don't have the time or interest in doing it myself. Thanks John.

Bet you wish you still had the Hondamatic... tough and expensive to find these days. My first Bonnie had the shifter on the "wrong side", with a shaft that ran to the opposite side, where the clutch was. On the end of it was a ball bearing, which ran in a "V" shaped grooved device. When the...

Sorry about the length of this, but I thought it might be fun to talk about the road bikes we've owned (Didn't include the ATC/Vs - that would have tripled the length! :yikes:). Here's my List of bikes Honda CB 160 This was my first bike – really my girlfriend’s bike, but she would rather...

    Harley, I don't get it

Most of the Japanese WC cruisers use the center mount radiator (like my Valk) - the Vrod has them in the "shroud", but I never had any kind of heat issue on them (I've owned three)

    Harley, I don't get it

Our member complain about being too hot on their 2013 RTs, and having to spend $1000 to cool them down. 2008 to 2013 TriGlide riders EXPECT to need $2000 worth of farkles to allow them to ride their trikes in town (255F at a 30 sec stoplight!!!!!). How do you get people to spend $35000...

1330 CAT delete for the RT

If Yosh had a pipe for the 1330, I'd consider it too - paying $1000 for a slip on exhaust is _______ .

Another Oil Change Thread for the 1330s

I pay little attention to milage, since I am really only doing about 4 to 5,000 miles/yr these days. So I change the oil and filter every spring, when the real riding season starts.

    HD Trike?

It does look like a Vrod - would be a trick ride too!

If you do get to Glacier, it's fun to cross the border and visit Waterton Lakes National Park in Canada, and have High Tea at the Prince of Wales Hotel (the male servers all wear kilts).

People wanting to borrow the Spyder. What do you say

My son has been riding for 20 years, and I have let him take his wife for a ride (short) twice. Someday he'll have one. I have let both of my closest friends test ride my RT (one has his own now). My daughter and her husband know better than to ask.

There are three of us who ride together every year (occasionally a few more, never less), and this is our 30th year for doing this - somewhere in the Mexico to Alaska, coast to the Rockies area.

TREAD: The new tool from Leatherman for the road

Leatherman is about a mile from PDX - where they said the device was cleared. That one's not for me, but I carry one of their more useful kits, that included all the specialty bits the Spyder needs:
