• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What bulbs do the Fog lamps use?

Hey Clary... Yes... the manuals suck at giving this simple but needed information out. You would think it would be in either the service manual or owners manual. Anything to keep you going back to the dealer. My wife has a 2010 RTS. I recently replaced the headlights and fog lights with LED...

    Being seen

I completely agree. A headlight modulator has saved my butt more that once I can tell you that. However, there was one time that it would have been a very fatal crash for me going over a rocky embankment. A headlight modulator worked wonders on my Goldwing. You can actually see it catch their...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

If we decide to keep the Spyder, my next Dog and Pony trick is to create and add a custom idiot light display on the underneath of the dash where the current "Safety Pullout" resides. I can easily 3D print a framework where I will add icon LED lights for the following: High Temp ABS Battery...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

The "Might as well, I'm in here already" thought process... 2010 Spyder RTS (neglected by previous owners) with 69880 on the clock. So what did I do to my wife's Spyder today? Well, not in one day but in one sitting... It started with wanting to replace the plugs. Then the "Might as well, I'm...

    What Coolant to use??

Really, any good quality coolant will work fine. I just flushed mine and replaced it last week. I mixed up a batch of 40/60 (40% Prestone and 60% distilled water) of the green Prestone. I run that mixture in all my bikes. You can buy it pre mixed as 50/50. Flushing with at least distilled...

Headlight Modulator... anyone have one installed in their Spyder?

The LED's I purchased for my Goldwing were supposedly specific for the GL1500 reflector system. They have a pretty unique system of adjustable reflectors inside the headlight assembly if memory serves me. I purchased them 5 or 6 years ago. Brand name??? Who knows. Companies buy a bunch, claim...

As far as I can tell, there are only 3 areas on this bike that have Vac lines... MAPS (2 hoses I think) Clutch (3 hoses I think) EVAP (1 or 2 in that system) Tim

    Can you ID this part?

Good evening Ladies and Gents. I am doing the not so pleasant job replacing my spark plugs on my wife's 2010 RTS. I am not sure if I will have this back together before we leave for vacation on the 12th of next month. I cannot believe anything this complicated ever made it to production... but...

    Factory service manual?

Hi. I downloaded the service manual for my 2010 RTS from here... https://brpmanuals.com/canam-spyder-manual.htm Just find your year and model in the list. It cost $25.00 USD and was well worth it. It is a quality manual and searchable. I have always liked paper manuals but there is...

Have you heard of this brand?? Tire brand question...

I have a question or two for people in the tire know. Has anyone ever heard of this tire brand before? If so, are they any good? Is it worth trying to use them when my current tires have reached the end of their life? I have a 2010 RTS that I would imagine needs an alignment as it's twitchy...

    Headlight modulator install

I love mine as well. I currently have a modulator on my Goldwing but will be adding one to the Spyder over the winter when I go through my electrical list of "Things to do". It has literately Save My Life. https://youtu.be/bN_1Gu1_2Rc Tim

2014 RTL Dash light for engine temp flickers while riding

Ahhh... that threw me for a loop too... So, if you remove the 4 screws from the instrument cluster bezel, the bezel will be loose enough to pop out. You may have to turn you handlebars to the left or right to get the bezel fully disengaged. You will only have so much room to work with as there...

    Service Manuals

Hi. When I asked about a service manual it was recommended to me that this was a good one. It has been great so far. Especially the clickable chapters and index. https://brpmanuals.com/canam-spyder-manual.htm I am use to the PDF manuals though I still do like the feel of paper in my hand...
