• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Gas Cap Leak

:agree: These machines are $35k new here in Halifax. If anyone at a dealership said they were stumped or didn't know where to go next, BRP would have an earful when I was done making the dealers ear ring for a bit! That is a lazy, "You're not worth my time" answer and equivalent to saying...

(DIY - looking to: ) There was a lot of talk about multi-pin DIN connectors

Hahahaha.... A BIG THANKS TO IdahoMtnSpyder!!! I just logged back on to say that I figured it out!!! Thanks for remembering me and and connector needs. I was hesitant in probing around too much as I am not sure how well these radios are built and how well they could withstand some audio...

Has anyone successfully installed a Guard Dawg Keyless ingnition system??

Well... you could. See my above post. It has to be very very close as Billybovine mentioned. But like I said...I still think your better off with-out this. It offers not real benefit to you or your bike. If your scared of forgetting your key or losing it, have key a hidden one on the bike. I...

Has anyone successfully installed a Guard Dawg Keyless ingnition system??

I actually did this with a Ford Windstar van we had. I wanted to add a remoter start to it and found that I needed an additional $450's in "modules" to make it work. Nope!!! Hacked a key off and lightly wire-tied the head to the coil (antenna) that was around the tumbler. Problem solved. :) Tim

Has anyone successfully installed a Guard Dawg Keyless ingnition system??

You are still going to need you key in the ignition for the DESS to be deactivated so this system will have the ability to take over. All this system does is to prevent the need to actually turn the key. Ultimately the DESS is what is looking after your bike for you. You could have DESS turned...

(DIY - looking to: ) There was a lot of talk about multi-pin DIN connectors

The ONLY information I have was given in the original post up top. I will eventually come across the answer. I am a very patient guy. Even if I could find a member locally with the MP3 cable, I could quickly test the cable to get the PINOUTs. Tim

Is there a bulb chart anywhere??

I did check into this today... the contrast control is only for the LCD panel and not the indicator bulbs unless there is a hidden setting in there that adjusts that. :( Tim

Is there a bulb chart anywhere??

I will look into this tomorrow morning. Like I said earlier, I got this Spyder for my wife only 2 weeks ago and was a 3.5+ hour trip home... half of that was night and about 110 km of the trip was in London pea soup type fog. That being said, I did notice that the background of the LCD went...

Is there a bulb chart anywhere??

Yes... I more than likely will. I am not afraid of stuff like this. Part of what I do for a living. I deal with surface mount components/electronics all the time. I replaced the background lighting in my wife's Silverwing and many other Silverwings as well. I have a great reflow station and a...

Because I don't have that cable!!! hahaha Yes, I can relocate the plug into the glove box but I still need the cable to plug into the phone/mp3 player. It does not matter where it ends up (glove/trunk/dash), I still need the DIN to 1/8th stereo plug. That is what I want to make. Tim

    2012 RT - A/mkt Electrical item identification?

I have picked up a manual and it does have two wiring diagrams for the 2010 and 2011. It's the same one that you recommended above. Great manual. I haven't work a lot with CANbus and don't want to upset that Nanny thing. I come from the old school stuff where you don't have to worry about...
