• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How Many Ride an RT Limited After The 5 years Of BRP Warranty Has Expired?

You can get to the latch from above. Remove the rear seat and the narrow panel (2 screws and some wiggling). You can slide the latch plate from there with a screwdriver or whatever. Putting the panel back is a pain. You may also be able to release it from under the rear inward from the...

OEM Tire showing cupping - is this something that goes with the brand?

Kenda tires are the OEM junk from the factory. Many BRP dealers will not replace the Kendas with car tires even though the Kendas are inferior to ANY car tire. This forum is rift with examples of poor quality OEM and options on upgrading for a far better ride. Independent tire shops will...

Complete Newbie Experiences - 2021 RT Limited

BTW, I lift the front inside wheel most often while pulling away from a stop while turning. Akin to pulling a baby wheelie from quick start.

Can anyone tell me how to remove the front seat and disconnect the seat heat? How can I get to that seat heat plug?

Did you remove the rear seat? The plug should be readily accessible with the seat off.

Complete Newbie Experiences - 2021 RT Limited

Speaking of tires, if they are Kendas, that could explain your tail wagging. Tire pressures are important to keep in a tight range. Non-Kenda tires and sway bar is the way to go for best stability.

How Many Ride an RT Limited After The 5 years Of BRP Warranty Has Expired?

The handle broke 1st while trying to open the case. When I took it apart, I saw the cable was rusted inside the armor about 8-10 inches from the handle. The cable snapped when I pulled on it! I guess moisture got sprayed in and settled at the bottom bend? Waiting for the other side to go.

Complete Newbie Experiences - 2021 RT Limited

Try to relax your hands and 'guide' the Spyder. Crowned roads are a pain but I just keep a steady pressure on the pulling side. Fast cornering is done best when you lean in and forward to shift some weight to the inside wheel. If you didn't replace the OEM sway bar, you'll struggle more.

Funny! My right saddle bag cable broke 6 months AFTER the 5 year warranty ended. $50 and a couple hours, done.

How Many Ride an RT Limited After The 5 years Of BRP Warranty Has Expired?

My 2020 RT has +40k miles. Warranty ran out in Nov 24. Only problem was a bad brake switch that I replaced before the recall. I'll ride it till I see something I like more or quit riding.

Using Garmin GPS with XM radio for Nav & headset audio - any reason to pair to the Spyder?

I only pair the Spyder to my helmet for music. The phone goes straight to the helmet also. I don't use the voice from the GPS, it's mounted high enough to see w/o distraction.

Learning to ride this bike: my progress so far

The sway bar reduces the cross drafts on the slab and tightens the front end in 'spirited' cornering. You'll know when it's time to upgrade.

Learning to ride this bike: my progress so far

If you're hitting the curves in a 'spirited' manner, lean in towards the inside wheel. Prop your outside leg on the floorboard and squeeze your inside thigh against the 'tank'. Do not try to trail-brake or the nanny may complain. Upgrading the suspension components will make a world of...

Any advice on 'better than stock' F3 heated grips?

Another big help to keep hands warm is a set of Bark Busters to stop the wind chill.

Should I get a 2014 now, or wait and get a newer model? Any 'gotta have' features?

This time of year of the Northern half of USA is when bike sales get sparse. Best time to buy, worst to sell. As long as it don't snow, the Spyders are good to go.

What's the likely Cost Estimate to get 3 New Tires and Air Pump Replacement done?

$12,500 OTD sounds fair to me. But live in NJ!

Returning member after years on a Goldwing Trike - anyone else done this? Thoughts?

Sorry for your loss, @poppajim. Any 2020+ RT will provide a world of fun with plenty of comforts. Don't discount a Base model in your scope for a little savings.

2020 RT Limited Rear Case Removal - does the cover come with the bike? Should I expect it when buying a used bike?

I don't think the cover comes with the 2020 RT Limited. You can buy the cover from the BRP 'parts' site. It's called a rear fairing, cost ~$260.

Anyone out there balance your own Ryker wheels? If so, how?

If you're looking for weight balancing (stick-on weights) and the balancer, go to Marc Parnes for the shaft and cones. Use jack stands or equivalent to hold the shaft. http://www.marcparnes.com/Can-Am_Spyder_Wheel_Balancer.htm
