• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Glovebox won't latch - any ideas on how to fix this?

Curious minds want to know. Are you talking about replacing the glovebox door/cover, or the glovebox cavity? And why would you replace it?

Finally, I fixed the Seat release on my RT! Video

Martin, Excellent modification to correct a common issue! Nicely done, and no apologies necessary, your English is way better than most of our Norwegian.

Hands going numb some... Ideas why? Any fixes?

+1 on the Foam grip covers AND how to check your individual most comfortable handlebar position as mentioned above. My 2013 RTL required a very small handlebar change and I was able to complete several IronButt 1000 mile plus rides. Before that I could barely stand 300 mile rides.

Anyone put BajaRon Ultra Sway Bar on a 2024?

Yep, we just did one of these on a '23 and it barely touched the plastic, called Ron and co., they told us not to worry and my buddy has a couple thousand miles already and hasn't caused a problem.

    New to the Spyder World

Nah, you'll enjoy the S2S and if you farkled that Ryker that much, you'll find what you need to make the S2S perfect for you. If it's not snappy or quick enough consider starting with a Lamonster Garage PedalBox, have done mine and a couple buddies and everyone really enjoys the improvements...

Glovebox won't latch - any ideas on how to fix this?

Please put that in your Profile, signature block as well, now maybe some '14 RTS owners can answer your question. Though it's likely if the cable mount broke, the latch is not operating properly and so doesn't catch when you close it. My 2018 RT glovebox lid seat gap is too close and when I sit...

Glovebox won't latch - any ideas on how to fix this?

As asked by the moderators here: https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?146210-A-Request-Passed-On-To-All-Add-your-Spyder-Year-model-to-your-Sig-Line! it would help if you put the year and model of your Spyder in your signature block so others would know what you're asking about...

    Passenger fell asleep!

Wife falls asleep on the back of my RTL many times, we do have the fold down (not swing out) OEM arm rests, She's never come close to falling out, and yes, I've stopped and she's head butted my helmet with hers. I'm not sure how a sleeping passenger could fall off a Spyder RT with being...

Need help on how to install a Pedalbox - 2015 RT?

Remove the mirrors; the right-side upper panel tupperware; disconnect the ECU connector; plug in the T junction; route the wire to where you want the remote; and bang, Bob's your uncle! Lamonster Garage may have a video; Slingmods may have a video; or Martin the Vlogger may have a video. Coach...

Anyone else dealing with this sort of Gas Mileage?

Yep, I have on occasion, using a gas can to top off after pumping at the pumps, added over 6 gallons, (Pumped 5.6 gals topped off with Reda 1 gal) but rarely. When I do Iron Butt Rides, I carry a REDA spare gas can - https://www.reda.co/reda-gas-can on the Spyder, just in case I don't stretch...

2019 RTL - getting leaves out of grilles?

Though if you're not gonna use 3Wheels ideas (I have the KOTT grills from CanAmSpyderAccessories.com as I liked the ones with R/T in the grill. You can use a spray that Air Conditioning techs use to clean out the radiator grills on HVAC systems, it dissolves the bugs but not the paint etc.

Are you happy with your aftermarket CAR tires?

Replaced the Kenda's on my '13 RTL w Federal Formoza (front) and Gen'l Altimax and it was like a different machine, much better ride, put 29,000 miles on them before selling and the tread still looked new. Replaced the Kenda's on my '18RTL in Jan '24 at 8,000 miles or so with Vredestein's all...

2012-2019. RT: Are there any highway pegs that do not interfere with the breakaway floorboard?

I bought the CanAMSpyderAccessories Floating "pegs" from Pierre, love them. They're very low observable, protect the rain deflectors, don't affect the emergency break-away floorboard. And at 240lbs myself, they support my weight and feet just fine...

I would love to hear a side by side comparison with the BRP Akrapovic Sport Silencer.

    Belt cover/guard: needed or not?

It really does depend on YOUR OWN riding style. I've had them on both my Spyders and Not had any belt problems. I frequently ride on gravel roads, even two tracks. Some folks never leave well maintained paved roads.

Issues with Kenda Tires or Not?

The only issue I had with my '13's Kenda's was incredibly short life span, here's a pic of my OEM Kenda on the left at 9,000 miles, General Altimax on right at 29,000 miles Same Spyder, same driver and passenger, you can decide Same issue on my '18 RTL OEM Kenda didn't make it 8,150 miles...

Do you Need better brakes coz stock discs are twisted?

As a routine hard braking RTL ryder with upgraded tires, M2 front and rear shocks, BR original swaybar on my '13 RTL, the difference in braking ability when I installed the EBC Pads and rotors from Baja Ron was ASTOUNDING! I can't attest to Martin's new setup, but if it's as good or better than...

More wiring questions - looking for switched power for relay?

Frunk Aux Electrical Depends on where you want the lighting, there should be an aux 12v power lead behind your frunk and your BRP operators manual also mentions a fuse that can be moved in one of the fuse boxes on page 60 - 61 for the rear power outlet that will switch that outlet from always...
