• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone else's Shift Linkage keep falling off? Any solutions?

When this happened on my '13 RTL, even after purchasing a new shifter arm, I had to "open" the gap wider by sanding in between the two parts of the arm that the bolt goes through to clamp onto the shifter shaft (so it could clamp tighter). I did use a normal shop wire brush to clear the splines...

    Cat delete - my thoughts

Davgill, just who or what were you disagreeing with? The last posts before yours was from 07/02/19 - 10/19/19 4 years ago??? No fumes on my '18 RTL with a BIW Cat Delete. Is your F4 windscreen vented and is the vent open? I went the extra mile and Titanium Header wrapped my front tuned pipe...

But at least you were riding! GK, now you've made me think of how to Gradient tint my inner smoke visor on my Schuberth C5..... Higher you go up the visor the darker the tint.... hmmmm going to look for one....

Can you identify these RT foot-plates?

Homemade ones that might cause the rain deflectors being ripped off, supposed to work like Pierre's ( CanAMSpyderAccessories.com ) The Floating Pegs https://www.canamspyderaccessories.com/rt-2010-2019-the-floating-pegs-black-with-black-edge/ But Pierre's have a much sturdier dual mounting support.

Don't Be Fooled! Looking at you DOES NOT mean they SEE you!

From my 2 wheeled cycling days, at stop signs and lights, being abnormally "antsy", I rocked my cycles left and right and turned my handlebars back and forth, I think that has made some cage drivers nervous about "what was I gonna do/where what I headed". On my RT at busy intersections, I still...

Has anyone come up with a Device to hold RT lid open?

Yes Pierre at CanAMSpyderAccessories.com has a 3D printed lid holder, some folks just buy the extra strut and fittings that then hold the lid up (if you've added a luggage rack on the lid).

Why do I need to hold the Fog Light switch to keep them on?

Greg, you just asking the question got me up outta my lazyboy, into the garage, started my Spyder and checked (for the first time) how each stage of lighting did work and actually got me to do a full light check that .... I've never done in the year I've owned the "new to me" '18 RTL I have now...

2023 RT exhaust sounds tinny - is this normal?

I take it yours didn't come with the Essentials package or include the Akrapovic Exhaust? If that's the case then the Akrapovic Exhaust add's a bit more throaty sound without being tractor loud. I've had the Sport 3C on my past 998 and it sounded great, also ran it with a Cat Delete.

From a Beloved 2001 Wing to a 2014 Spyder RTL in 23 years

I've tweaked both a '13 RTL and '18 RTL, starting with Baja Ron Front Shock Preload adjusters, Baja Ron Ultimate sway bar (because I'm 260lbs), If your '14 still has the stock Kenda front tires, consider replacing them with non-kenda tires, and if those don't give you significant improvements...

Anyone interested in the spyderstore.com Domain?

Just got off the phone with a fellow spyder rider who saw me use my original Dual Fill and he's trying to source the components at Amazon to make his own (for personal use) variant. I suggested we make a list of readily available part numbers to share if you don't mind. Would Baja Ron consider...

So... Q? for those who get off the tar with a 1330.

I have driven both a 2013 and 2018 RTL on gravel roads (off the TAR or pavement) for many, many miles to reach desired destinations, THE MISSING BELT GUARD is on both and works wonderful, have never had muffler issues on either. The 2013 did have the Air Bag protective cup on it, the '18 doesn't...

Anyone done a Cat Delete leaving stock muffler on?

Ditto all above, I've done both RLS and Baldwin Cat deletes with stock final exhaust. And I do recommend doing the Titanium Header Heat Wrap, I did mine from the front tuned pipe and the cat delete (skipping the springs area).

What are these clear plastic patches with new F3S for?

They're scuff shields that go on the pretty blue frame tubes where many folks rest their feet.
