• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Mysterious drive belt adjustment change

Last evening, after my last stop for a bathroom break and hydration, the bike started having a vibration. I was only about 12 miles from home, so I decided to continue. When I got home, I noticed that the belt was riding on the flange on the rear sprocket. This is strange because the belt has...

Amsoil package change for their 10W40 Metric Motorcycle Oil

FYI. I recently went to order Amsoil 10W40 Metric Motorcycle Oil and could only find 10W40 Motorcycle Oil Street & Race. Contacted them and they said they did change it to the Street and Race. Still JASO MA/MA2, but now it carries the API SP spec.

2014 ST with error code P0340 - anyone help me figure out where the camshaft position sensor is?

When mine failed (1330) what I found was the electrical connection was contaminated with oil. The part # that came off the bike ended in 45 and the new one ended in 46. Totally different looking part. Known problem in certain years. Mine failed at 34,000 miles. I was able to limp mine home.

RTL - brake pad replacement intervals. Just replaced my pads at 21,000 miles. Is this a fair mileage?

If you have not kissed your windshield during an emergency stop, you should definitely practice what it takes not to do so!

    Are 165/60/15 Vredstein's the correct front tire for a 2023 RT-L?

Recently, there has been some comments about the availability of this size. The 175/55 which is a lower profile slightly wider works well on mine.

Is my Air bag leveling? Any way to make it more noticeable when adjusting the ride height?

If it is like mine, it must be in gear with the parking brake off for it to adjust. I just checked mine and using my ride adjust switch (ACS) the passanger foot rest height to floor changed about .75" between soft to hard. I was not on the bike with it in R and the back tire blocked.

Question about the 4 PSI rule for tire inflation

Totally agree. Just trying to make her all she can be. I talked to a Vred rep, and after he calmed down after I said I put them on a motorcycle and after I explained it was a reverse trike he said I could go down to 24 PSI. We all know that is not correct: probably had something to do with...

Question about the 4 PSI rule for tire inflation

Do you check yours? What % increase do you get? You should get the 4# increase if you are running the Kendas at recommended PSI dependent on rider and cargo weight.

Question about the 4 PSI rule for tire inflation

Just read about a new way to judge correct tire pressure. When running lower pressure than what a tire was designed for, they recommend using a 10% increase instead of the 4 PSI rule. We can get away with the lower pressure because our vehicles weight much less than the cars they we developed...

The only 2 times I got stranded was when it came off the tender and then an 8 mile drive to Wally world and no crank. Got it jumped and back home to the tender. 3 days later and battery was according to the tender fully charged, same ride same result. The new battery turned 5 in June and has...

Question about the 4 PSI rule for tire inflation

To clarify, we are not saying you should have a 4 psi difference between the fronts and rear, we are saying each tire should increase by 4 psi from the cold setting and after driven to warm them up. If you get less than 4 then you are overinflated and more than 4 then under. Has to do with the...

Question about the 4 PSI rule for tire inflation

I agree with using the automotive version but my experience has been it is hard to find. In the past when I go to the Ride-on site you could not order from them. The only Ride-on I could find was on Amazon and only the motorcycle version. My ride on the last leg was 55 miles of interstate at 70...

Question about the 4 PSI rule for tire inflation

I run the Vred 205/60 set at 15 PSI with 13 oz Ride-on on the back and Vred 175/55 set at 17 PSI with 8 oz Ride-on in each on the front. I used a Jaco digital inflator to air the tires and the same to check the pressures at the end. I weigh 145# and was carrying minimal cargo. This latest trip...
