• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I've been Riding with two nuts! Does the wheel rotation tend to undo a lug nut if it's loose?

On my Champagne and the Arizona Spyder I did purchase the PPA security lug nuts sets. Maybe should have got the same for this latest Spyder. I have been doing 98% of my own vehicle maintenance for around 70 years and am very careful on mounting wheels, and find it hard to believe this was...

I was going to point that. You beat me to it.

Should I roll off the Throttle when upshifting, or maintain the position? What are the best RPM's?

Shifting at 3200 or below with lug the engine in the next gear, unless on a very level road, heading down a grade, and having a strong tail wind.

Is it worth swapping my Ryker Sport for a Spyder RT 2019 - Now Done!

I guess that I have RT's, as I never drink and ride!

Totally bonkers 'Miles to empty' on 2020+ Spyder - can it be fixed?

My Washington Spyder started have goofy DTE when I filled the tank with the key on, this continue for a while even when the key was off. The Low DTE did not move until distance traveled matched up. Well today, after a month or so, it was back to normal saying 245 miles DTE when I fueled up...

I've been Riding with two nuts! Does the wheel rotation tend to undo a lug nut if it's loose?

Well, I have been riding with two nuts, who knows how long. I had the Vredestein tires mounted on the new PPA wheels on May 28th, installed them on the Spyder that day, torqued the lug nuts to spec, and I always do at least one extra go around. Yesterday was detailing the trike and when I got to...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

In Washington State, Motorcycles, including trikes, get priority boarding before the cars/truck. First on, First off.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I took a little trip up Highway 9 from Lake Stevens to Lake McMurray, turned to the West and headed to Shelter Bay in La Connor to visit one of the other three friends who turn 82 this year. I was first back in June, friend Dick was second in July, and this friend Jim is the youngest, with an...

UK Ryker owners - Is a Ryker Rally Suitable for UK's Potholed Roads?

If you English blokes spoke American English you wouldn't have such issues, UNLESS it was learned in a Southern State! ;)

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

He should file a complaint with NTSB, noting the recall on later models, stating he had the same failure on an earlier year of the same model. That might be the thing the gets BRP to step up and cover the failure. Question is however, does the mileage on the trike fall within the recall mileage.

Should I roll off the Throttle when upshifting, or maintain the position? What are the best RPM's?

Above 3000 to 3200 range, unless you are going down hill. Let it rev, you can't hurt it.

Should I roll off the Throttle when upshifting, or maintain the position? What are the best RPM's?

On on ramps I go wide open and just shift through the gears at full throttle. Vroom Vroom!!

Is the Canyon Riding position narrower than the RT's? Enough to notice & stop cramping hips?

One's feet and legs are back under you more on pre 2020 models also.

Wondering about replacing my '21 Spyder with a '26 (or '27) - any thoughts on the newer Spyders being different or better enough to justify the spend?

So the price of a good Garmin Zumo GPS and a carplay/android auto screen provides redundant navigation and more than one way to send music to helmet intercoms, and cost is just a fraction of the cost of a trike upgrade. And the info one wants can be left up on one of the screens, not needing to...

Wondering about replacing my '21 Spyder with a '26 (or '27) - any thoughts on the newer Spyders being different or better enough to justify the spend?

I would like the new way to shift into reverse gear and cancel cruise control on the newer models. However, I would not get a Satin finish Spyder. And people say the new machines scratch easily. AND I would have to get two, as I have a 2018 RTL in both Washington and Arizona, and I would not...

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

Another option is to just trade it in on something newer, with a discount of the cost of repair. The dealers cost to fix it is much lower than the cost to the consumer, so they still have a saleable used trike...

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

I have had the recall done on three different 2018 RT's. In all cases they had the trike most of a week, despite the number of hours BRP allows for the recall, which, if I recall correctly, is 10.5 hours, when the tech is taking the most of three days to do it. All three have been fine after the...

Catastrophic Damage at 2026 D3WR - any suggestions on transporters to ship an F3 home to NC?

You sure it is not a 2017 covered by the Can Am recall? Might be a good idea to talk to BRP about it, given that it is a known issue with 2017 to 2019 Spyders. It is not a DIY job, so he might want to have it worked on in its current location, then go and ride it home...

Is it worth swapping my Ryker Sport for a Spyder RT 2019 - Now Done!

Kenda OEM tires and soft OEM sway bar. The 0-60 mph time for a 2019 Can-Am Spyder RT Limited (RTL) is approximately 5.5 to 6.5 seconds, depending on payload, road conditions, and the intervention of the vehicle's stability and traction control systems. The Can-Am Ryker Sport 900 does 0–60 mph...
