• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is it worth swapping my Ryker Sport for a Spyder RT 2019 - Now Done!

I have two 2018 RTL. One chrome model and one black model that I have been adding chrome pieces to. The 2018-19's have the full digital dash, which I like better than the earlier models. The 2019 chrome wheels are most likely the best looking wheels Can Am has put on a Spyder in my book...

2018 RTL GPS circuit. Blew a fuse? Can anyone give me a pointer towards which one?

BTW, I have never installed LEDs in the fog lights on any of my three 2018's, figuring the effort was not worth it. LEDs in the headlights on high beam do an excellent job making others aware of your presence on the road.

Don't give up, Snoking and Coach Bob to the rescue.

2018 RTL GPS circuit. Blew a fuse? Can anyone give me a pointer towards which one?

That is what the diagram that I posted from the service manual for the 2018 Spyder shows. And not coming from the radio.

2018 RTL GPS circuit. Blew a fuse? Can anyone give me a pointer towards which one?

OK, those GVSCers are on the same circuit as the GPS power on the left side behind the fuel tank. You will notice it says sw power or 12V always on along right side. That would be F6 SW or F7 12V always,

2018 RTL GPS circuit. Blew a fuse? Can anyone give me a pointer towards which one?

Actually the pre 2020 Spyders have better seen head lights vs the 2020+. All LEDs and they look like a RR Engine coming at you or following you. The new machines, we have one in our riding group have very narrow light beams, get a little off center and the light more or less disappears.

I run high beam with LEDs all the time.

Black wire was ground and violet is 12V.

For future reference. Snowbelt got it right.

How I Spent My Summer Vacation

I sent you a PM about the reunion and someone you may know.

    Rides Curtailed For Summer?

I have a friend that spent a year on a Coast Guard 82' cutter in VN. We (the CG) had 26 of them there. I was construction/first year crew at the Loran C master station in Sattahip Thailand.

    Rides Curtailed For Summer?

Muscle up sailor, you most likely saw worst conditions off the coast of Vietnam, including AO brought aboard in the water they distilled for use on the ship.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

    I like your wheels!;)

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

GM had alloy wheels a while back that were leaking air in the casting. The solution was to remove the tire and put silicon sealer on the area of the leak.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Today Carol and I did a 100 mile ride each way to Leavenworth, Wa over Stevens Pass in Washington for lunch and meet up with in-laws. It was very windy/gusty and I was glad I had good car tires and HD sway bar set on sport/performance connections.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

That does not square up with what Can Am is doing with Side By Sides and motorcycles where there is a lot of effort to out perform the competition. But maybe that is the issue, there is not that much competition in the trike area except HD, and they live off aged out HD rides primarily.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Maybe BRP is missing out on not having a "Sport" edition RT for an extra $1K with good shocks, HD Sway Bar, and better tires. They could do these upgrades OEM cheaper than having to buy aftermarket items piece meal.

Anyone else had an Oil Leakage Issue like this? - UPDATE

If they have been doing the transmission recalls on the earlier generation, which I am sure they have been, they have a lot of experience removing a 1330 motor. BRP has a special tool to hoist the engine.

PedalBox and Pedal Commander - what do they do and how do they work?

Old thread comes back to life. What I was thinking about a drag race is what is said in this post I am quoting below. That is, it will get a jump off the line, then as you go through the gears at full throttle, they will stay in the same position relative to each other on the track. Now out...

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

It would be fun to take one to a Can Am dealer and ask to have it installed on the rear on a Spyder. This tire is rated for 1477 lbs at 44 psi inflation, same same at the General Altimax tires that I run on the rear.
