• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

Now I have a Range Rover which is like 2/3rds the weight and under half the size engine and 6/10ths the number cylinders. It's also supercharged which is supposed to better up here at 5,000 feet. Guess what the gas mileage is now. Yep, takes premium and still does about 12 mpg around town. I...

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

Talking about car tires on the rear. There is now a Kenda car tire in 215/60R15 size. It's the Kenda KENETICA Touring A/S KR217, part number 217040. Anyone going to give a go? Good reviews on Walmart, so they've go to be good. Just saying.

2025 Improved Sea to Sky Tires, how are they?

I had an Excursion once. It was 6.8 V10. It needed premium gas. It drank it at like 12 mpg around town, about half that with the trailer in the mountains.

Buying a Demo 2026 Sea to Sky

Wow, $3,000 discount. I paid MSRP where I am as they were selling out and I had the last one in stock. They weren't discounting at all. I had a choice of color as long as it was white. The other two dealers within an overnight drive from me had sold out of Sea to Sky units. I got an OK price...

Engine Oil - What Amsoil products are you using?

The Shell T6 Rotella 5W-40 doesn't have the JASO MA2 rating actually printed on the container but it is listed in the specification sheet as JASO MA/MA2 compliant. The T6 Multi Vehicle Rotella is not suitable however. So sometimes looking up the oil's specification sheet can shed more light on...

Anyone got info on the New Kenda Kanine Rear Tire for 2013 RT-S?

How much. I know it's Oz dollars but even so. That seems like a lot. What tire brand was that for?

Buying a Demo 2026 Sea to Sky

You don't say what year it is. If it's a 2026 and I presume CAD$6000 off, I'd say that's a good deal if it is looking like new. Like pegasus1300 says, check the warranty details.

2023 vs 2024-26 Spyder RTL - Worth it?

My previous 2021 RT LTD actually came with the tool from the trunk release. I agree the upgrades can be minor and subtle but overall make a difference that is not obvious until you ride it.

Anybody see a measurable change in fuel mileage with larger diameter rear tire?

Oh I'm sure. But with my arthritis being bad, lying on my back in 100F heat underneath my Spyder whilst I cut the old sway bar with my angle grinder is not going to happen. I can't get the required height with the ramps I have. With problems I have with my left hand now, does it matter if I...

    Lucky Seven - 7 weeks, 14 states, 21 Rides

In Utah, I'd suggest: Alpine Loop - side run to Cascade Springs. Mirror Lake Highway up and back. Torrey to Escalante on Highway 12, especially for the brave on the Hogback portion. In Colorado, I'd suggest: Million Dollar Highway Rocky Mountain Nation Park Both are for those not afraid...

2012 RT SM5 - Will sway bar end links alone make any difference?

The stock ones are pretty tough nylon like material. They are probably pretty solid in compression and expansion so I doubt if the sway bar links alone will make a huge difference. I suspect it's the sway bar that is most of the improvement factor. They look nice though in various pretty colors.

Complete Newbie Experiences - 2021 RT Limited

It took about 1,000 miles and a BRP training course for Can Am trikes to get used to the thing back in 2021/2022. As the UK is probably not so hot as it is here in the US at my house today at 102°F, you might want to experiment between 18 to 20 psi on the front. Three things I've learned about...

It was 102°F at my house today. My wife is sick with a bad cold, so we stayed home. I still need to fit my Baja Ron Ultra Sway Bay bar but it's 100°F in my garage. The A/C is running continuously. I just got last months electricity bill. Ouch.

2024 will Crank, but just won't start! More later...

I don't know. Once they are sorted they do seem to stay sorted perhaps. I think it's like burning-in electronics; once they've run for a certain length of time, their failure rate declines rapidly. We hope. Why not ride it, have some fun, it might grow on you. I went through hell and back with...

Too hot to ride, or maybe I’m just getting old

Two lady firefighters and a gentleman fire fighter didn’t make it out of those shelters a few weeks ago on the UT and CO border. The other two gentlemen firefighters did make it out but were hospitalized after being rescued by some very brave helo pilots. If you want scary, look at this crash...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

If you are carrying a passenger and it’s in the rain, I’d make sure the airflow of the bike through the air doesn’t draw the spray far enough forward to create a line of water over their back, especially as you don’t have a top box. Setting off on a long trip to find somewhere along the way you...
