• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

HELP *** Bolt found while washing ST

Take the bolt with you on your trip. Also take along a wrench that fits it. Who knows? You might find where it goes while on your trip. It would be handy to have it, along with the tool to replace it. ;)

Out of Towner looking for way home

The southwest quadrant of Wisconsin is without a doubt the best riding in the entire state of Wisconsin. I have been on every square inch of WI and would recommend someone to travel south along the river on either side of the river. Both sides offer their own views and features. I would also...

How many of Spyder Riders still ride motorcycles?

I still ride a motorcycle. I currently have a 2014 HD Ultra Limited. My wife rides with me on both. Not everyone should ride a motorcycle, or Spyder for that matter. Riding a motorcycle is not like it was in your MSF class, where you are on a enclosed area, which is generally flat...

Ever been hassled because of your RC patch?

Personally, never got into the "patch-thing" either. Nor have I ever been a fan of "clubs"... JMO

vibration and engine noise 013 rs

Breaking-in an engine will provide as many differing responses as an oil-thread. Personally, I would not run mine up to 6,000 rpm's during break-in; however I would (and did) ride mine quite normally during break-in (5,000 to 5,500 rpm's) -- EXCEPT I never maintained a constant speed -- ever...

Do you know where your "Bars" come from?

I would not say what you are seeing is too unusual. I not familiar with your experience on sport bikes or motorcycles; but all of their engines will vary quite a bit in temperature depending on all the factors you mentioned. One reason they do is that their water-cooling system is not...

Don't fly your flags on the bike! Hope this doesn't become a trend

I agree. This guy seems like a idiot trying to get some attention... For those that are bashing the company (or any company); I would suggest you produce a product and then fully warranty anything your buyers do to it that causes problems. It will not take long before you change your tune...

    Torque curve 2014 RT

The new torque curve should be more familiar with more people than a high-rev engine. Personally, having driven/ridden all kinds of vehicles with various types of engine characteristics, the 900 series does not bother me; and never has. However, as I said, most people are used to lower-torque...

Question 1: I will let those who have more expertise answer, but my RTS only fills when started and sitting on it. Question 2: It is not unheard to cause the Nanny to announce Limp-Mode after aggressive maneuvers. You may have done just that. If you see this occurring more often on less...

SpyderAttitude Cat Bypass - WE NEED ANOTHER VENDOR

Certainly by reading the law this is, in part, true. The fines for mechanics, car dealers, marketers of by-pass products and such are the highest. Up to $25,000 per part, not incident. In other words, two parts replaced could fetch a fine of $50,000. Where the fine for individuals is far...

SpyderAttitude Cat Bypass - WE NEED ANOTHER VENDOR

With all due respect and food for thought for those interested, here is a link to the Federal Law: http://www.epa.gov/air/caa/title2.html You will see the Federal Law takes precedence over any state law regarding vehicle components related to Federal EPA standards of the Clean Air Act...

Got my order in today for the Elio!

Yes, we still have town squares in the small towns; however given our state's and local fiscal condition (second worst only to CA); they are considering selling the naming rights! :roflblack: Or maybe turning them into gambling casinos... :roflblack:

Got my order in today for the Elio!

    What octane is everybody using

With running the risk of ticking some people off... You pay $20 to $30k for a vehicle and consider using something other than what the manufacturer (engineers) recommend? :banghead: There are reasons why fuel octane ranges are recommended -- however, having said that, I'll bet a case of beer...
