• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does a first service/oil change at 500 miles sound "normal" for a 2024 RTL

I checked the Operator's Guide for my 2024 Spyder RT. There is an "OPERATION DURING BREAK-IN" section, but it's about how to drive during the first 1,000 km/600 miles. It specifically says: At the beginning of the Maintenance Schedule section it does have a "Break-In Inspection" section...

Battery/Starting slow spin - is this common & why doesn't it start like a normal motorcycle?

I went to batteriesplus.com, entered the information for my Spyder, and it offered several options.

Spyder - Trader Joe's - A case of Two buck chuck will fit!

Only when drinking Earl Grey, hot. ;) But what was the stuff in the other brown bags, and how did the quality of those wines compare to Two Buck Chuck?

Spyder - Trader Joe's - A case of Two buck chuck will fit!

Can Two Buck Chuck even legally be called wine? Google thinks the correct temperature to serve actual red wine is 55 to 60 F, and recommends 20-30 minutes in the refrigerator before serving it. But NO ice in the glass, please!

New audio systems available for 2020+ RT/RTL's

There's a link to a video on their website, which is also posted on Youtube. At 1:20 in the video, it shows the part that is mounted in the frunk. I have the Can Am luggage roller bag, and when you put it in the frunk it takes up the entire width. Let me see if I can get a picture of it in...

My 2024 S2S Seat has no strut - did BRP discontinue them?

Okay, I went out and looked again, and yes there is a very tiny thing on the outside of the left side of the driver's seat arm. Left side of the Spyder, and the far right in the picture I posted. But it's very thin, much less than the thickness of a pencil. And I pulled the seat up about 1/2...

My 2024 S2S Seat has no strut - did BRP discontinue them?

Just the seat brackets where it's attached to the Spyder. Here's a picture I just took. I lifted the front of the passenger seat, then unlatched and lifted the driver's seat: You can see the slightly lifted "horns" of the rear seat on each side of the picture, but no support strut anywhere...

My 2024 S2S Seat has no strut - did BRP discontinue them?

I'll go look again, but I didn't see anything like that on my 2024 Spyder. Oh, and that strut is used on a lot of 2020+ Spyder RTs: https://www.canampartshouse.com/oemparts/partsearch/can_am?partsearch=708003221

My 2024 S2S Seat has no strut - did BRP discontinue them?

I just checked and I don't see a separate "strut" that holds up the driver's seat on my 2024 Sea2Sky, although I may be misunderstanding what you mean by "strut". I have found that the driver's seat doesn't like to stay up, but also found a work around. Before turning the key to unlatch the...

Buying a new helmet - who replaces them every 5 years per manufacturers spec??

I think the part of the HJC website information about adhesive and component aging answers the question, even if the UV damage doesn't, since it's still in the box:

I ride with an HJC C91 helmet. Here's what the HJC website says about replacing helmets: https://hjchelmets.us/pages/faq In the "HOW LONG CAN A HELMET LAST?" section.
