• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Dealer says Car tires damage fenders - does this make sense???

You are exactly correct sir! Missing Mike!

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

You could not have said that better sir! I'm pretty sure that it is belt driven, and unless they have put extremely good belt guards on it, off roading simply won't work well!

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

Like @Snoking1127 said, take a Spyder course if there is one near you. I was glad I did! I learned more than I would have imagined! Just a tidbit. They taught us that you cannot hit the brakes 'too' hard! We kept running it up to 30ish, they said stop, we hit the brakes. About the 4th time I...

Any thoughts on Ground clearance on the RTL?

Like Mikey said, it's all about the angle! I have 3 speed bumps leaving the house. I simply make sure that I hit them at roughly a 60 degree angle. One tire goes up on it, the next follows, no problem.

Has anyone used front wheel 'roll into' chocks on your trailer?

    @FROGMAN, I actually used Z-trac!

Another tire thread…but different¿ New Kenda XPS Roadster Tires - more durable...

I'll look at it tomorrow and let you know. I'm not looking for a softer ride. I want to know that when I go into a curve that it will stick! The General Altimax I had on the first Spyder, an RTL, gave me confidence that it would stick. The Kenda on the rear of the RTS didn't! The Vredestien I...

Canyon Sitting on the Showroom Floor!

After Shawn smoke made a video and saw car tires on a Spyder and said, "danger danger", I was done with anything he might say or have!

Has anyone used front wheel 'roll into' chocks on your trailer?

If you search my name, there is a thread with a picture of my setup with front chocks. In my trucking days I learned a long time ago that if the load doesn't get a chance to move, it won't!

Another tire thread…but different¿ New Kenda XPS Roadster Tires - more durable...

After all of the problems in the past with Kenda tires, I would NEVER have another one on my Spyder! Vredesteins are the only tires I will consider! In fact, I just had a Vredestein installed on the rear yesterday. (Sorry Ron, you are 175 miles from me, the dealer in Taylorsville is 15 miles...

Anti-Theft Locking License Plate Fasteners, which are best?

In North Carolina, the stickers destroy themselves when you try to take them off!

Anyone have any good Headlight upgrade suggestions?

Allow me to share this; my Freightliner truck had horrible visibility at night! I was talked into buying a super duper headlight that guaranteed more light! It worked beautifully! For about 2 weeks! The problem was that the OEM bulbs were 55 watt, the new lights were 95 watts! In two weeks I...

Can anyone recommend a TPMS system other than FOBO?

Good to know, it didn't say that you could change that setting from what I was reading! Thanks!

Can anyone recommend a TPMS system other than FOBO?

I did notice that the low pressure was down to 29 I think psi. If you are running car tires, you would need it to go down to around 18 psi. Nice looking product!

Are you using Tie down straps to secure a Spyder with e-track in an enclosed trailer?

If you have chocks and have to slam on the brakes, they take a lot of energy away from the straps.

Are you using Tie down straps to secure a Spyder with e-track in an enclosed trailer?

If you key my name it, I posted pictures of my setup!

Are you using Tie down straps to secure a Spyder with e-track in an enclosed trailer?

I have an enclosed trailer that just barely fits my Spyder. I have a chock for the front tires. I have Z-track on the floor as I drive on. I put a strap over both tires. I have a piece of rubber tread under the rear tire, it won't move side to side (although I've been advised to strap the back...

How many States require a Motorcycle Endorsement for Spyders?

It is generally accepted that if you are pulled over in another State than the State you are licensed in, that they'll honor the requirements from your State!

How many States require a Motorcycle Endorsement for Spyders?

NC requires a Motorcycle endorsement, which I have, which allows both 2 and 3 wheels. However, you would need a Motorcycle license with the 3 wheel endorsement if you weren't going to ride a 2 wheeler.

Anyone tried Slime in the Rear wheel? How did it work?

My tire guy, after I brought a tire in with slime, told me that if I ever used it again, he would bury me next to Jimmy Hoffa! It's just plain messy!

Any Recommendations for USA Made Trailer Bearings Other Than Timken?

Is it me, or don't you think that Timken should be asking the distributor where they are getting the counterfeit bearings from and going after the source of them?
