• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Recommend anyone in Phoenix, AZ for Car Tire Install (Non-Kenda)

Absolutely! Though they usually are not able to balance the rear wheel even if you take the pulley off (which you should do anyway). We use balancing beads. Because it only takes 3 ounces. And a well made car tire takes a lot less weight to balance than the average Kenda.

Recommend anyone in Phoenix, AZ for Car Tire Install (Non-Kenda)

Most tire shops will do this if you take the wheel to them. And you'll save a ton of money that way as well.

10 year parts law - will parts for the 1330 engine/trans still be available into 2036?

Probably dirty injectors. We see that a lot. Especially with customers that lug their engines. Which is also quite common. We have had some issues finding parts for the pre-2013 machines. But it isn't nearly as bad as the dealerships make it out to be. You have to understand, from their...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

You are so right about that shift actuator hanger. And it only takes a small bend to give you grief. It would be good if BRP could find a way to tuck that system up above the frame. Bend it too much and you have to replace the hanger. You just can't get it back to where it needs to be.

Can a Used ECM be married to a bad one without BUDS?

What Peter said... If the old ECM is kaput, then you don't want (even if you could, which you can't) to have them talking to each other.

Could disconnecting the positive terminal of the battery for a few days cause any problems?

Always disconnect the negative cable first. Then reconnect the negative cable last. In other words. The positive cable should always be attached when you connect or disconnect the negative cable. Other than this, I see no issues with removing power from you vehicle.

2010 Spyder won’t start! Got a new battery and put it in, everything looks normal, but only clicks once! Any Help?

Sorry, I interpreted the 'Click' in your post as a starter click. Not the key clicking. Sent me in the wrong direction. Thank you CopperSpyder!

2010 Spyder won’t start! Got a new battery and put it in, everything looks normal, but only clicks once! Any Help?

Loose or dirty connection points will light everything up but will not carry the amperage to start your engine. This means both ends of your cables. They need to be shiny bright clean and good tight surface contact.

When should you change your Spark Plugs?

The typical resistor spark plug has a 5,000-ohm resistor. Though this can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer and application to application. Resistors come in various configurations depending on the quality of the spark plug. I've not tested the NGK Iridium IX plugs we sell because it is...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

We've gotten some Spyders in that were taken off pavement. We even had one that was stolen and found in a rock pile. You can get away with it on very good roads if you're careful. But you're right, the Spyder and Ryker are pavement queens. I have a 900' gravel driveway and my Spyder does fine on...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

It is probably more dangerous now than it was when I rode there. Faster, more capable machines. And more people. Had a good friend with a buggy who didn't think he needed a containment net. I still see a good number of people running without them. He was a great driver, but no one is perfect...

Can a Used ECM be married to a bad one without BUDS?

You will need BUDS to make a replacement ECM functional, as Snowbelt Spyder points out. We have had good luck at the shop with used eBay ECM's. But if you go that route, don't take the seller's word for anything. Not that they are necessarily lying to you. But most have no idea what works with...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

I know we are going far afield. But I never really enjoyed the dunes. Did Galamis and Pismo Beach several times. Nothing eats HP like dunes. Speed & momentum are your only friends. Lose either and you're pretty much done on 2 wheels. I never ran a paddle track so that was also problematic on the...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

My initial reaction was similar. There is a lot about the Spyder that is not motorcycle. And I felt that the Canyon might be a machine without a purpose. But I've been wrong before. And I never want to tell someone else how to have fun or what they should be riding, though I will share...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

Most of the serious improvements to existing vehicles are accomplished by aftermarket producers, though the manufacturers do try to make changes to faulty systems with warranty upgrades depending on the seriousness and level of bad press they get. Additionally, manufacturers often incorporate...

Any experience or ideas on Increasing Ground Clearance on the Canyon Models?

I think what confuses me, and maybe others, is that it is well established that the Canyon is an off pavement vehicle, not an off road vehicle. And this before your first post. You are asking for upgrades that can only be construed as at least moving your Canyon towards the OHV category. When...

I know exactly what you mean. I carry a tire gauge. But I've used it on other people's rides many more times than on my own. Same goes for my Krikit II belt tension gauge. And once they find out you have it, word goes out and it keeps things busy around the gathering places. But with over 13"...
