• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

2020 RT right saddle bag not opening - cable rusted!

I think for the 2022 models they went to a stainless steel cable. You might ask your dealer if the newer cable will fit your 2020 I think it will but I haven’t tried it myself yet.

‘21 RT - Tall Rider Setup Photos.

I'd be interested in knowing more about your highway pegs. Are they something you custom fabricated or are they available as bolt on units from someone? The standard highway pegs on the Spyder just are not very comfortable for me even though I'm seven inches shorter that you. I like that...

    HowTo: Change Rear Tire

Thanks for the input Peter Aawen. I continued to search after posting my question and found most of the suggestions you mentioned, very helpful. One additional help is to use a ratchet strap thru the wheel and secured to the pegs (or in my case probably the passenger floorboards on the RTL) to...

    HowTo: Change Rear Tire

Can anyone tell me if these instructions apply exactly to a 2021 RTL or is there newer info on 2020+ models? I’ve got 9250 miles on the OEM tire and it’s shot. I have a new Quatrac sitting in the garage and will be changing out ASAP.

2020 RT Ltd seat won't stay up when filling gas etc - any ideas?

When riding my 2021 in rain the seat will not stay up on its own but once the seat dries out good it will again hold the seat up. My point is the OEM strut is barely stout enough to hold up the seat, doesn’t seem to be able to support any additional weight at all.

Recommend any Wind deflectors for 2020 RT?

To expand on mescw500 post I too am 6’ tall and on my 2021 RTL I had the same experience no buffeting while running the windshield at any height I wanted, my default position was all the way down. I decided to purchase the adjustable BRP upper and lower side deflectors to get more airflow in the...

Will iPhone GPS instructions BlueTooth to Spyder Speakers?

While the phone is connected to the Spyder by Bluetooth check in the Control Center of the phone to make sure the speaker output is set for the Spyder.

What Did You Do To Your RYKER Today?

I'd be interested in knowing how you like the Adv Windshield after you get a few miles on it. I'm leaning towards the same windshield for mine.

Is training really needed to ride a Spyder?

I hear you, although I drove 175 miles to attend the Three Wheel Basics class sponsored by BRP. I don’t regret one mile of the trip nor the cost of the motel. Plus I’ve been riding 2 wheels for many years and have been thru 3 safety classes on two wheels and have learned something useful at each...

Cardo Packtalk Bold - Advice on 2020+ RTL and bluetooth connections?

Thanks for the info; however, I just got back from a four day trip on the Spyder and I never wished that my helmet coms connected to the Spyder at anytime during the trip. I tried BRP Connect when I first got the bike and gave up on it and based on what I’ve read I haven’t been inclined to try...

Video: My Sea to Sky with add-ons

Thanks for the info. Since I posted that I’ve found the perfect solution for me that required no drilling of body panels. I use a woods power grip suction cup, a perfect squeeze phone mount, with a buzz kill vibration isolator. This mounts to the flat spot in front of the front speaker, perfect...

Is training really needed to ride a Spyder?

In the training classes you work on an exercise to get you accustomed to panic/emergency braking and at the slow speeds of the training exercise it will nearly throw you through the windshield. I would hate to think about someone hitting the brake as hard as they can in a real emergency and not...

Cardo Packtalk Bold - Advice on 2020+ RTL and bluetooth connections?

Just purchased a Cardo Packtalk Bold unit and my plan is/was to pair it to my iPhone only and not the Spyder. My thinking is for GPS I always use various gps apps on my phone, I no longer use a stand alone GPS. And for radio I'll typically use phone apps as well (XM, iHeart, iTune, Pandora)...

Which FOBO Bike 2 app do I want?

The FOBO literature says approximately 1 year, mine are around nine months old and still going strong. They use CR 1632 batteries that are widely available. Probably available at any Wally World and Walgreens etc. plus the app itself shows the battery charge of each unit as well as the air...

Which FOBO Bike 2 app do I want?

For me on my 2021 RTL it was as simple as screwing it onto the valve stem, practically like putting a normal valve cap on. The hardest part for this old man was getting up off the floor afterwards.

Is there a site that can tell me how many of a particular year spyder was made?

Don't forget the 2021 Sea to Sky with it's special Himalayan Green paint scheme in honor of the background colors of the sea to sky highway! I inferred from their marketing that the Sea to Sky was a one year special model, but 2022 proved me wrong with the blue S2S, guess they're honoring the...

Thinking of Switching to a Ryker

I have a '22 Rally. I don't have very many miles on it yet as it has been to cold for me to ride or I've been busy on other projects on warmer days. My suggestion too, would be to take one for at least a one hour ride. Prior to purchasing mine I only rode Rykers for very short distances a...
