• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anyone recommend a good Digital motorcycle fuel gauge?

What model Spyder are you riding. Some of them come with a digital furl gauge and temp. gauge David

    Maximizing Visibility?

I have to agree with Bob, your skill level is more important than any clothing or lighting you can buy. If an idiot driver will drive into the side of a train, they will certainly drive over you on a motorcycle. David

    Smoothspyder F3 belt tensioner

I have a 2015 RT Limited, and installed a Smooth Spyder tensioner when I first got it. The Smooth Spyder did a good job and I was pleased with it, until. When Doc Humphries first came out with his adaption of BRP's idler pully he provided this version to specific testers at a good price, and I...

    An Honor for "Charliie Hustle"...

Thanks for starting this thread Bob, Pete and I went to the same high school in Cincinnati. And I too think he should be in the Hall, look at all the other dopes and druggies they've allowed in there, and they aren't half the ball player Pete was. David

It could be as simple as not having the units paired in the right order. David

    Rugged Geek.....Any Issues?

Did you hook the leads up as instructerd, then put the ignition to stand by, then start? When I hooked mine up , it flashed like that, and when I put in in standby, I overshot the indent and hit start . At that time the green light came on and it started fine. David

    To the BRPCare Team...

Exacly how much have you had to spend on your 2014, or better yet, how much has your warrantee saved you since you had yours? I have a 2015 RT Limited, and now after 1 1/2 years of ownership, and 17,000 miles of service, plus farlkles, it is just about perfect in what I expect a ride to be. IF...

How old is too old to get started riding a Spyder

Can't say too much about this, I've had my RT about 18 months, and 18,000 miles. I'll be 78 July 4th. If you want a Spyder, buy a Spyder, your age has nothing to do with it. David

    Magic Mirror Mounts

I don't know where I read this but it was said that if you rotate the magnet you would change the direction that the magnetic field traveled and POSSIBLY move the field away from the gauge. As easy as it is to do, I'd give it a try. Just pull the mirror, loosen the screw that holds the magnet...

Mounting GPS at eye level on RT?

Hey Pete, nice work. The vibration of the long arm is why I mounted mine the way I did with the short arm. I still have a little vibration but not enough to be a problem. Keep up the good work. Here is my end result. David

Pretty much, you need a constant 12 volt, and a switched 12 volt, plus a ground, for each guage. David

My newest farkle and maybe the last

Hey BernardD, good point, and yes the animation calls for a constant 12 volt source, but the clock would require a constant voltage source anyway in order to keep constant time. I don't think that actually draws down the battery much, but I don't leave my RT sitting around idle too much, I ride...

My newest farkle and maybe the last

Glad to see you every once in a while, missed your posts. I remember when you did your dash, and thought it was really nice. Since my RT is black, I think I'll leave the dash black. David

My newest farkle and maybe the last

Not on your life! My wife sat on that rear seat and said no way. I sat on that rear seat and would recommend it to anyone. Feels like sitting on a bump. Don't get me wrong, if I was getting a bike for me, it would be an F3, but I'm talking about accessories, not a new trike. David
