• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Your Weather News @ November 2023 Edition

Here in deep south Texas, finally have an easterly wind blowing *warm* air in off the Gulf of Mexico, instead of off the “frozen tundra” to the north. Highs mid- to high-70’s*F, lows tonight about 60*F. Highs creeping steadily up to a forecast 92*F for Tuesday.

Your Weather News @ October 2023 Edition

Sunny south Texas was anything but that today. A front moved through early this morning, dropping our temps into the high 40’s °F by noon, with a NW wind at over 20mph and a light rain all morning. Rode the wife’s F3S home from the dealer after completing the front pulley recall. Cold for us...

Great read!! Excellent writing. The math, though, not so much. Methinks your miles after day 8 should be 2,445 ...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Took the ‘17 F3-S in for the front pulley replacement. Praying it comes back from dealership in as good of condition as it went in, but not confident ...

    Bad Pun

Ask a local farmer / rancher if he needs any cats to help with mice in the barns. If so, trap them and donate them. Problem solved - on both ends.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Rode mine to a new local BRP dealer to get the ball rolling on the front pulley recall. Hopefully goes better than my efforts with the last dealership ...

Parked in the sun - RT screen blacked out... Finally, a use for that Warning Tab!

I throw my gauntlet gloves up over the gauge faces on my F3-S. Mine’s not electronic, but maybe it will help keep the orange of the dial faces from fading, as has happened on my wife’s F3-S.

What would this Ticking sound in the wheels be? 2022 S2S

Get a floor jack etc and raise up one front wheel a couple inches. Spin it and listen. Could be something in the brake pads / caliper, the ABS tone wheel on the back side, wheel bearing, tire to fender contact ...

So... Q? for those who get off the tar with a 1330.

Accidentally rode about 7 miles of damp dirt / loose rock, complete with some fairly steep hills to climb, with the F3-S this weekend near Spyders In The Ozarks. Found out my “connecting roads” between two highways were not paved! Traction control kicked in a few times while going up. But no...

Who's signed up for Spyders in the Ozarks - 2023?

Just got home. Odometer on mine (very close to correct) shows 2,632 miles for the 7 days. There shouldn’t be any more grasshoppers in south-central Missouri ... if everyone else’s grille look like ours do!!!

Pic of the chow line at the BBQ on Thursday. Can confirm javajaws’ count. Video I took, I counted 199 Rikers/Spyders, but some were still coming in. Still on our way home. Left Harrison, AR this morning, and just arrived at a hotel in Corsicana, TX. Will be home tomorrow late afternoon, with...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Installed an Apache 4800 case on the Lamonster PackRack. Thanx to SL member Haze for info, pics, and answering questions. Getting both Spyders prepped for the 2-day, 1,000+ mile trek to Spyders in the Ozarks.

Should I run OEM S2S wheels or PPA Black Widow wheels?

The PPA’s blend better with the bright trim on the side cases than the factory wheels ... in my opinion.

    Spyder Sightings

Spotted a white RT heading north on Park Road 100 on South Padre Island about 8am this morning. The spousal unit and I were breakfasting at Grapevine Cafe on the two F3-S’s.
