• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Washing Your Spyder....

All the time and I use Merlin's Blood on my wheels. I'm sensible with the spray and keep a reasonable distance and avoid electronics and the seat. My self-serve spray wash has a blow dryer I used followed by a towel on the harder to get to spots. Works well! Rob

    PTT to Garage Opener

Here's another option you might want to consider. I've done it for several motorcycles. I wired my garage door remote to my high beam lights so that when i was near my garage door and flicked my high beams my garage door would open. I hid the remote inside my light housing. I've not done...

    Rotella T6 mileage ?

I change every 5K. Used BRP synthetic blend until 20K or so and then switched to BRP full synthetic. I didn't experience much difference in observable performance such as heat or shifting. I just completed my 30K service and switched to Amsoil 10w40 metric to see if I noticed any observable...

PLEASE BRP! It's time for an RT refresh!

I hear you as I get the itch from time to time. I have a 2015 RTL with over $8K in mods/improvements ranging from Elka shocks to Sheepskins to everything in between. I never intended to invest at this level; it just happened over time. What I've ended up with is an absolute treat to ride. I...

    RT Shock Replacement

I found Elkas very effective I have a 15 RTL and soon after purchase I installed the Baja Ron Sway Bar. Unfortunately I did it so soon after purchase that I don't really know the impact. I did it because everyone else seemed to be doing it. Last May I had Elka Shocks installed on the front...

    Deadwood 3 wheel rally 2019

Pete, I encourage you to not think of this as a "big gathering" as you can do as little or as much as you want. Last year was our first year and we did every ride after the first day on our own. Best ridding ever for us; we loved it and I plan on going back. Rob

    Zurich Warranty ?????

Good you are doing your homework Deanna, it's good you are doing your homework on Zurich. I've never had them so I can't say anything personally. I will say that my auto dealer offers Zurich and others, and has told me they have the most customer service complaints with Zurich. And as...

    A Thread Worth Responding To

Shamrock, TX What comes to mind for me was our trip this summer to Spyderfest in Springfield MO. We rode our Spyders from Tucson, AZ. The memorable dinner was two nights in the same place, which was a local steakhouse in Shamrock, TX. Day 2 in our trip to Spfld was the ride from Ruidoso, NM...

    RT Seat Release Emergency Solution

I don't think it is a big problem, but I've heard a few people experience some sort of issue with lifting their seat. The greatest risk is you can't fill your fuel tank if the seat won't come up and you don't have a gas access fuel door installed on your seat. I did not want to have an issue...

    RT Seat Release Emergency Solution

If you remove your pin Just keep in mind that if you remove your pin and you trailer your Spyder, your seat will likely float up in the wind. By the way, I ended up removing the steel ring from the end of the wire and just made an ending loop in the wire that I can get my finger in. This...

    RT Seat Release Emergency Solution

Last week I had a situation where I could not get my RT seat to release from the locking pin. I resolved the problem with little chance it will happen again, but it scared me and I decided to figure out an emergency release solution. I believe I have one and it works when tested. Thus I'm...
