• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Favorite ride close to home

Not a lot of curvy roads here in NW Iowa. But lots of county blacktop roads with very little traffic to ride. Riding along some of the small rivers is also nice. Pretty flat around here.

    BRP COnnect questions

kissfan, thanks for the info. It works fine on my phone, except that the miles traveled is sometimes way off.

    BRP COnnect questions

I have used BRP connect with Genius maps and it worked OK for me. Phone plugged in to USB. Phone will not be answering calls, but when I am riding I don't answer calls anyway. I set up the destination on my phone in advance and navigate to the location in Genius map on the dash, and start the...

My new 2020 F3 Limited Dark

I now have a little over 500 miles on my F3L and am really liking the ride. Rode about 200 miles today to have lunch with my brother in law, who has a Goldwing trike. Filled mune up and it got 38.8 mpg, which makes me very happy. Trip was all highway miles at 55-60 mph. Was a very...

My new 2020 F3 Limited Dark

Copper, I really am liking the riding position on the F3, nice to be able to stretch out in a more upright position. Was also pleased with how the windscreen creates a nice calm pocket for me. I thought it might lead to head buffeting. Did get bounded around by the crosswind, but that has...

My new 2020 F3 Limited Dark

MONK I know what you mean about the color being called Magma Red. It is definitely more orange than red. But I do like it in the Dark Edition. So much smoother and quieter than the RS. The wind was at 30 mph on the way home, held the road very well when in the crosswind.

My new 2020 F3 Limited Dark

I picked up my new F3 Limited today. Traded my 2009 RS and my Kawasaki 1600 Nomad. Incentives made it very affordable, after the trade. Had a nice ride home, about 70 miles. My wife enjoys the pillion and the passenger armrests. Looking forward to many fun miles.

    2020 F3 Limited

I put in an offer on a 2020 F3 Limited today Magma Red. Trading my 2009 RS and 2005 Kawasaki Nomad 1600. I all goes well I will have it next week. BRP incentives and dealer sale made it not much more expensive than a used 2018. Dealer had 2 F3 Limited left and offered a fair price and...

    Looking at 2012 RT Limited

I have been checking dealer pre-owned selection in NW Iowa and SW Minnesota, and there are not many available. Some dealers have no pre-owned units or very limited selection. A dealership I visited had only new units. Goes to say that if there are not many available that the asking price will...

    Looking at 2012 RT Limited

There are not a lot of pre-owned Spyders showing up around here. I have found a dealer, in Des Moines who has a 2012 RT limited, with 7100 miles, for under $12,000. Waiting to hear back from them on trading my 2009 RS. May have to make a run down there to take a test ride and see if we can...

    Another dealer dropping Spyder Line

Larry L, that is good to hear. I will most likely use the Algona location for service on my Spyder. It is a nice ride from Spirit Lake to Algona. I ride down to Lost Island fairly often. Nice country riding between Terril and Ruthven. I really like my Spyder and hope these smaller dealers...

    Another dealer dropping Spyder Line

There are small shops that will work on wings. I prefer the Spyder, but riding 100 to 200 miles, or more. for a oil change, makes things more difficult We have a Indian dealership locally that services the major brands, but not Spyders.

    Another dealer dropping Spyder Line

I stopped by Jaycox Powersports, Worthington, MN. To see what they had in stock for Spyders. They told me they are discontinuing the Spyder/Ryker lines. They will continue with other CanAm products. This means I have to ride further to get service for my Spyder. They are about 40 miles from...
