• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Random thought for the day

After my 75th B-Day earlier this month I've concluded that: "I'm to old to die young" Wish I would have NOT WAITED until 2018 to purchase my 1st used 2012 Spyder, but really blessed that my wife told me I should buy a new 2020RTL when they first came out. We have more than 59,000 miles on it...

Our 6x12 enclosed trailer set up for our Can Am Spyder S2S

We did that same mod back in 2021 to our 2020+ RTL's, we've only hauled em a few hundred miles cause we'd rather ride em than haul em.

Our 6x12 enclosed trailer set up for our Can Am Spyder S2S

Looks like you are good to go! Only 1 other thing, make sure you stop and reset your trailer clock at each time zone you cross! Safe travels.

I get a Leg pain after riding the RT for more than half an hour - anyone else? Any solutions?

1st, what year & model Spyder are you riding? 2nd, does it have a drivers back-rest? I'm 75 and use a back-rest when riding alone, NO hip pain. When riding 2-up I remove the back-rest, some times get hip cramps from not relaxing & leaning back against the rest. Try a back-rest if you don't...

Any ideas on adding an aftermarket USB for phone charging during travels on our 2017 RT?

There is an On/Off switch on it. Whats really nice about these is you can check the battery volts without turning on the key switch, which powers the lights, computer, etc.

Looking for a suitable Half Cover For a 2019 RT with a Luggage Rack - any thoughts?

You might put a plastic cover over it and place some moth balls under the bike and cover, should keep the cat and rodents away from your Sypder.

Adding new fender lights, should I remove the FENDER or remove the TIRE?

When we added lights to the rear of the front fenders we just removed the tires. We had the bikes up on stands about 16" off the floor. Worked out fine on three different bikes.

Open Trailers for towing Spyders - what's the best suspension type? Experience, opinions, or are we just over-thinking this?

We also use M8x30mm eye bolts in lowest setting under the passengers footrest for the back/side fasteners on our 2020+ RTLs. They work well with the shock fasteners to make a 4 point securement. 5 years with no problems, Bill
