• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

After hearing so much hoopla, I finally tried Buc-ee's! Never Again!

Why don't you move your vehicle under both circumstances? You can still get your receipt if you move the vehicle, just need pump number.

Wondering how many owners do not know this is possible?

I've been using this feature since my first RT in 2012. Thanks for informing all. And another tidbit for some: If you want to leave your radio, lights, etc. on or don't want to wait for your ride to go through its loading procedure and are only stopping for a short time just hit the kill...

Any Ideas on how to get dual input via a 3.5 cable?

My Problem Free time with the RT is over!

An FYI on battery replacement - I started to get the VSS code on start-ups on my 2022 RTL and told my tech about it in April 2024 while in for its yearly service. He checked the battery and told me it was the cheap BRP battery (as many on here attest) and I should replace it. I did replace it...

What is the number of hours required to assemble an RT?

I used an AI app and it returned: "The assembly time for a Can-Am RT Limited at a dealership typically ranges from 4 to 6 hours. This includes unpacking, assembling, and performing a pre-delivery inspection to ensure everything is functioning correctly."

How many times can a Spyder be turned on & off between tries without failure?

When I first read this I immediately thought 1.2 million tries. Then I gave it due consideration and decided 53 because that is the number of years we are married and have not had a failure yet!!! Waiting for the reason as I may have to change my guess.

Will the 2024 Spyder Dash allow you to plug in USB & play MP3?

Using just the USB I will say as stated in the 2024 RT manual. Perhaps you can do as Peder (comment 7) has done.

Audio System Won't Load When Hot

On my 2022 RTL, at times after fueling, breaks or anytime I turn off the Spyder I have to reconnect BRP to blue tooth on my cell phone. So, I disconnect from the phone then re-connect. It's quite unsafe since I usually don't wait for to find out that blue tooth hasn't connected properly before I...

Had to wear Gloves for Can Am riding course - Do you wear gloves? Why? Or why not?

I was new to riding and brought my Spyder to the dealer for service. The service manager said he would ride the trike into the service area. As we were walking out of the store, he put riding gloves on. I asked why since he was only riding around the building perhaps 2,500 feet. He said, as some...

Tell Me Something Good About Your Spyder Ownership Experience

After riding 3 RT Limited's (2012, 2014 and now 2022), the one thing I can say about our Spyder riding experience is enjoyment we have gotten from the adventures of riding this toy. My sweetheart and I have been on many a weekend trip, as well as long trips out west, up north and most recently...

Urk... Frunk won't unlatch... Is this a common problem?

I have owned 3 RT Ltd's (2012, 2014, and now 2022) and I've never had an issue with opening the frunk, trunk, or saddlebags. I'd say it's not a common issue.

What power outlet & fuse do you use for heated clothing?

I have Gerbing gear and they recommend installing their battery harness directly to the battery with an in-line fuse. Which is exactly what I did. https://www.gerbingdealer.com/Content/Images/uploaded/Battery Harness Installation Guide1.pdf

So many complaints about the Spyders. Anyone with no problems?

2012 RTL - 20K miles total - replaced air compressor 2014 RTL - 50K miles total - replaced speed sensor 2022 RTL - 10K miles total - schrader valve air leak repaired. Battery replaced as preventative maintenance at ~ 6K miles due to BRP's poor stock battery.
