• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2024 Tour Planning

So for the first day is just getting from home to Lamonster's shop, hoping like heck it's open when we get there, and staying in Branson after that visit. About 500 miles. Day 2 is Branson to Peel's Ferry, then on to Hot springs Via Harrison and the Pig Trail. That will take us across AR Rt 7...

What Kind of Rider are you?

I/we prefer to ride in sunny warm weather. I will ride down to 40-ish. Mrs. stops at about 50-ish. On trips or day long rides, rain and cold is just part of it, but a ride for fun or commute will never start out in the rain. The dark just requires more diligence in watcuhing for critters big and...

    Electric Spyder next?

Just adding on to what has been said, I am not a fan of all electric vehicles. I am of the touring crowd, 500+ miles a day to get out of the flatlands. We can do that in about 10-12 hours pulling a trailer. Waiting every 100 miles to charge is much too limiting. Then, in the mountains and twisty...

    2024 Tour Planning

Wmoater, planning is actually my job, I just wish it was planning motorcycle trips and then being able to take them all the time. I plan raw materials for a manufacturing company, so I like to have trips mostly planned out, with room for adjustment or adlib as needed. Your suggestion fits...

Spyder owners are stuck up - why is this so?? Please explain...

I wave every time to every motorcycle (and yes, even scooters) if I'm not busy doing riding things. My wife waves if she notices the others coming our way. We have a little chuckle if they don't wave back, and always verbalize a "NOPE!" Does it bother us? No.

    2024 Tour Planning

Last year, we toured Pennsylvania, and you guys and gals on this site really came through with awesome suggestions. We listened to you, and saw some amazing things, and rode some amazing 2 lanes. I appreciate every one who gave us input. I am starting my 2024 trip plans. I am planning a tour...

Is a Spyder a motorcycle, trike or something else?

The forum? I think aligns as our own community. Because most of our discussions are CanAm specific. Forum members? I can only speak for me, I am a motorcyclist that rides a CanAm Spyder. I would speculate that most came from a two wheel background.

I put my Spyder to bed today, for A Long Winter's Sleep!

I'm a little late to this party, OldGuy - cancer sucks. Best wishes on kicking its a$$, and good on you for getting out if you can. Keep on keepin on, brother, I'm rooting for you. And from one bald guy to another, the look grows on you. My ride went up on dollies, rolled to the front of the...

Tick Tock, Tick Tock, Tick Tock - Spyder ordered, the wait begins!

Congrats! If it is anything like when I picked mine up, you will love it. Right now, recovering from shoulder surgery, and when I am able to get on mine next spring, it will feel like new all over again!

2024 Models Are On the Can-Am Site

I personally love the addition of CarPlay. I can use the apps that I want instead of the few avaialbe to BRPGo. The white S2S doesn't really excite me, but the seat looks good, and I like the rims. If mine wasn't paid off........... nah. I'm good for a while.

Early To Bed for my Spyder this season...

Thanks all - I appreciate your kind words. I am talking to the doctor about the cold therapy, see what his thoughts are - YIRIDE, thank you for that suggestion - I hope the surgeon is on board, and I will order one. I am doing what they are calling "pre-hab" which is PT for before surgery. I'm...

Early To Bed for my Spyder this season...

 Well, in 2 weeks, I have to put the Spyder on the dollies and inthe corner of the garage, in August, with 2 or 3 months of riding left. Shoulder surgery at the end of the month will have me out for quite a while. I can't complain, we did a lot of fun stuff on the bike this year, touring...

What are the Side bag capacities please?

yep, the numbers are in the book. As far as usefulness, we had to learn how to use the "clamshell" side bags. Very different than the top loaders we were used to. A set of Spyderpop's bags was the game changer for us, kind of spendy, but made the side bags 100 times more useful than without.

Anyone else's Top-case blocking Tollway license plate photographs?

A little late to the party - FIRECAT - I live in Illinois, the cameras pick me up every time. Keep an eye out, and it is Illinois, so it could be a while before they show up. This is Illinois, nobody gets out for free. Check that, but don't get me started (or I'll get banned, or otherwise...

Deadwood 3Wheel Rally, 2023 - Getting ready to leave!

I was expecting more. We also spent $0.00 at the few vendors that were there. I am glad we went, and happy to have met a few folks that are now FB friends. We had 5 wonderful days of riding, all the must-do rides and then some. I spoke to the Can-Am rep there, he said they were hoping to get...
