• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Madstad windshield for Ltd - close to perfect for me!

My Spyder shield is suiting me fine, but on my Victory previously to my spyder, I went through three different windshields before hitting on the MadStad. Some people can't abide by the looks, but that never bothered me. It worked excellent. Glad you got it to work for you.

Anyone had issues applying vinyl decals to satin paint?

I followed the instructions and watched the videos. Take your time and it should be good. I was worried about wiping down the paint with the alcohol wipes, but after the decals were on for a bit, I washed with matte finish wash, and you couldn't even tell. Post up some pictures when you have...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Heading to my dealer tomorrow (5-19) for the brake switch recall, oil change and check up for the PA and SD trips this year. 80 degrees and sunny today at work - forecast tomorrow for the 85 mile ride to the shop -- 70 degrees and rain all day. If you're going to ride, sooner or later you're...

Its hard to get off 2 two wheels and onto three.

A different perspective here - I went in on the Spyder because I thought it was my next big adventure. My wife and I tour once or twice a year a week to 10 days at a time. And I ride to work every chance I get. No issues with the Victory we owned previous to the Spyder. No issues with me riding...

Show us your Day Trips/Unusual Attractions...

We toured the Asylum in 2016 as part of our West Virginia trip. We did Seneca Rocks, Smoke Hole Cavern, and many other cool attractions in WV. The roads there are awesome. Closest thing to us is Starved Rock State Park - there is some decent riding around and through the park, with nice little...

    Gordon Lightfoot passed

I was sad when I learned of this - I too enjoyed much of his music. If you're a you tube person, search out John Prine - House of Strombo - he dedicates a song to Gordo. Two musical legends there. RIP Gordo. Thanks for the ride.

    Review: BRP Go! is going...going...GONE!!

I've tried a couple of times, my biggest gripe is Go can just dump you whenever it feels like. At least that is the way it seems. My phone is a recent model, IOS is up-to-date, and apps are updated, but I will be riding happily along and then silence. Stop, shut down, reboot, and do the...

Android Auto/Apple Carplay standalone mountable display, pretty slick

Uticat - does this unit connect to the bluetooth on the Spyder so the sound comes through the bike speakers? I'm asking because using my phone for maps is getting a little difficult due to the size.

What is the best way of wearing glasses with a modular full face helmet?

I have a pair of sunglasses that are used only with the modular helmet, but that being said, they go on after the helment is on with the chin bar up.

Has anyone given their Spyder a "Name"???

Unofficially, the "Old Blue Chair." Yes there is a story. Riding buddies giving me good natured grief about switching to 3, calling it my wheel chair. Also, while not a huge Kenny Chesney fan, I like most of his island songs, so it fit, kind of. I wanted my plate to be BLU CHR, but it was too...

How do you explain what riding is like?

I am fortunate that my wife loves to ride with me, but I am the one usually asking her to take a break from the hectic lives we built for ourselves and take a ride. Once out, she enjoys it as much as I do (as long as it is warm enough!). To others, I try to explain it like your favorite song...

    Your First One....

I started on an old Honda 70 or 75 cc dirt bike. Nothing fancy, beat to heck, bought it with paper route money and rode the heck out of it. No kick start lever - it was stripped out so push start every time, I spent a lot of time riding next to the fields around my house on that thing. Next was...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Not today, but Friday, I, with the help of my beautiful bride, installed Lamonster's 2" handlebar riser. Then, of course, took it for about 15 mile shakedown. Definately changes your riding posture, I think for the better. Positive so far (for that short ride). After this round of cold breaks...

Has anyone solved the riddle of using Bluetooth and USB charging? BRP Connect...

Find a "data blocker" - it is just a small device you plug in between the USB in the glove box (on my RT-L at least) and the phone you want to use. Then BRP-Go does not recognize the phone, lets it charge, and you can bluetooth the phone to the bike. I think I got two blockers on Amazon for $6...

What's the Best Sounding Exhaust for my RTL?

I second, or third K80's comment. I ran the gamut of aftermarket exhausts. Last being Tri-Ovals on my Victory. We are liking the quiet of the RT-L. One thing I haven't seen talked about on this forum (or at least this thread)- the Victory crowd (and I'm sure other makes as well) on the forums...

Deadwood 3Wheel Rally, 2023 - Getting ready to leave!

I called SpyderPops about some lighting and other goodies. As of now, they are NOT plainning to do installs at Deadwood. I was told that they may change their minds though, so keep your ears out.
