• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Magic Mirrors for an ST?

I have not heard of these. I'll look these up. My mirrors are getting loose. I may have to have you tube lead me through a dis-assembly.

HowTo: Spyder ST-S right headlamp replace

On my '13 STL I go in through the gauge cluster. Removing it is 4 screws, if I remember, and remove the gauge cluster and then both headlights are accessible. Looking at your pictures, I think you have better access than the way I was doing it. Seems to me I got my "instructions" from the...

How many miles on your current Spyder?

Wow. some of you are leaving us in the dust. We only have 51K on our '13 ST. But it's still a hoot to ryde.

    Saturday 5.9.20 trip

Holy cow blacklightening, that sounds more like a 3 day trip. The route sounds fabulous. Perhaps this fall we will be coming that way on our migration toward Florida. Would you be available to be a tour glide? Though we've been on the BRP several times, we haven't gotten off much and been...

    M2 Spyder shocks.

I sure hope not. I believe, from other people AND their warranty shop that they did get a batch of poor seals. Well I have had to have both of my fronts re-done about 1 year apart and I hope I am through with the problem. I still am happy with the performance.

    M2 Spyder shocks.

I am not currently in the market for new shock components, but listening to most of you who have had conversations or dealings with M2, it is nice to know their are quality companies with good customer service and products and seem to remember who is the CUSTOMER in the transaction.

HowTo: Mounting the Spyder with less effort

    Top Front Shock bolts??

Does she ryde with you? In my case, the ryde had gotten so bad my wife was pushing me to get "something better". No argument when it came time to buy.

    M2 Spyder shocks.

Can't and wouldn't say any negative word about the M2s but I bought Elkas for a fair amount less and I love em'.

    Final Drive Ratio 89 error

I'm curious. You are doing this for a reason. What are you trying to accomplish?

    Top Front Shock bolts??

Been there, done that, twice. I put Elkas on my 13 STL and the front end looks much the same. As others have said, take the weight off the wheel, the bolt comes out fairly easy if you don't have huge hands and put the bolt back in from the opposite direction. Not hard at all. Would suggest...

I'm drooling. I've always liked red. But not until we come off the road.

    Any Covers for 2020 RTL's?

Suggest Nelson Rigg covers. We live on the road and have found they are a little heavier than many others and hold up well.

Best grease to use for lubing suspension

Just pullin' your leg a little Ron. But still shame on me for not even knowing they exist and making sure they were lubed at least every other oil change. And overkill never hurts.

Best grease to use for lubing suspension

OK Ron. Now you have shamed me. I'll have to go crawling under my '13 ST-L and find those fittings. But thanks. Really. I have 49K miles on my spyder and based on tire wear, I still have about perfect alignment. I'd like to keep it that way.

Best grease to use for lubing suspension

Holy Cow!!!! I have never tried to do this myself, but admit I have a shop do my oil change. I wonder if they grease these fittings????? Can you "get there" with a regular grease gun?
