• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I removed the coolant reservoir, secondary air box, #1 stick coil, and #1 spark plug. #1 was wet and much browner than #2 & #3. I used a bore camera to look inside the cylinder and I don’t like what I’m seeing. Tomorrow I’ll see if it’s metal. I was hoping not to find anything. -

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I removed more items and cleaned more of the plastic undercarriage pieces. I found a loose factory clamp that goes from the coolant expansion tank to the water pump. I discovered that a different clamp on the larger coolant line from the water pump to the bottom of the expansion bottle had been...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I had to look up ‘Love Bug’ insect on the internet. It appears to be another great reason for living in middle Tennessee, if they are around here they must be few.

I use dryer sheets in multiple places on nearly all my outside and detached garages. Also the rat snakes, cats and terriers we have around here help with mice and other rodents. So far there are no signs of mice damage. It’s nearly to the frame now. I’m inspecting everything.

I do have some fins to straighten out. The radiators aren’t in too bad a shape. The oddest thing I’ve found so far is all the grain in my primary air box.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Thanks. I am not very proficient with searches on here yet, or finding specific threads/sub-forum topics. I’m working on reducing picture sizes too.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

So today I got to the spark plugs. What an interesting adventure. I’d attach a picture except my photos are too large to post. Not certain if I can reduce the size on my iPhone. Is it normal for that foam sound barrier to break down into a sticky falling apart mess?

What did you do to your Spyder today?

I wear gloves size between a small and medium. On the new to me Spyder the fat grips didn’t give me a warm fuzzy when it comes to control. I figure that after a few more thousand miles on it, I won’t feel uncomfortable with foam grip covers, which I removed carefully. Same 'few more thousand...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

That is nice to know. Thanks. On my week long trip from middle Tennessee to Pittsburgh, PA, I found out rolling off on the throttle did not cancel the cruise control. I was surprised since three of my other bikes that have cruise control work that way.

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Is removing the front storage box required to access the spark plugs? I am at that point now and cannot get the air box to slide out the side with that left side mid panel in place. My 2015 RT-S had the foam grip covers on. I believe they were “Grip Puppies” brand. I could feel the heat through...
