• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BajaRon on Facebook

Like any venue or platform, there are pluses and minuses. Facebook is no different. It’s not for everyone. It’s just another way to disseminate information and diversify the marketplace. As for Ron, he is extremely customer service oriented, has access to great products and from years of...

    GPS compatabilty

The clasps on the center mounting plate is different between a Garmin 665 and a 595. As was mentioned above, make sure the mounting plate being offered in the deal is compatible with your GPS model.

    Keeping Warm

I’m glad you’re liking the new heated gear. As I’ve grown older, I can’t tolerate the cold nearly as well as I did decades ago. Just a note that Firstgear has a “battery powered” option. I chose to go with being plugged during the ryde time and opted to forgo the battery, at least for the near...

    My Baby is gone!

It’s only a short interlude between rydes. You’ll survive. The wait will be worth it. Congrats on the pending arrival of your new Baby!!

    Lake Michigan Circle Info/Experience?

I’ve been around Lake Michigan a few times. My interests and tendency to wander at hearts content, 4 days isn't enough, but if, say your goal is to just ryde around the Lake to say you’ve done it, that’s plenty of time. There is an official Lake Michigan Tour that you could use as a base route...

    Couple quick questions

I’m pleased to read all the posts by happy customers of iMotorsports. In early 2017, my experience with them was awful in all respects.

    SOB Thieves!

I have always had mine attached to the front of the floorboards. I like to look down and see them. 11 years, multiple Spyders and I haven’t lost one yet. Theft is always sad to experience.

Review: My First 1000 Miles On The F3L

I’m happy you’re enjoying the change in ryde. Pretty much my experience as to handling and performance when I made the switch a couple of years ago. Having gone over 40+K miles it just keeps getting better. Continue to enjoy your new ryde my friend.

    2019 F3L arrived today

I felt certain you would love the F3. Your experience and comments about the comparison between your RT and the F3 were mine almost 3 years ago. After that time and 45K miles, it only got better. Enjoy, my friend!

998 can am rt road trips

While not as peppy as the 1330, the 998 is truly road worthy in every sense. I had two 998’s (an RS and an RT), with combined mileage of over 80K miles, from the prairie to the mountains all over the Country. It handled every mile, from almost non-existent roads to more congested, high speed...

    Imotorsports

I won’t “go off” again about my experience with iMotorsports. I’ll just say my encounters with their business practices got them eliminated from consideration long before the purchase.

    LAMonster Ultimate Floorboards

I’ve used Lamonsters floorboards on my F3 for 36K miles. I also use the associated foot pegs. They are solid, zero vibration and incredibly comfortable. I’ve logged up to 580 miles in a day with them. Pricey? Maybe. I look at it as an investment in my comfort and safety. On all counts, they were...

    Poll on navigation preferences

I use MyRouteApp to plan the overall trip. It allows me to select specific directions for roads and attractions I’ve deemed as important. I can create the maps in multiple formats, I.e., Google Maps, Garmin, and use satellite or hybrid views to check for gravel roads or whatever. Once finished I...

    top speed

While doing the same on a straight, flat, solitary road in Utah, I discovered 110 isn’t the top.

LIDLOX: Excellent product, fantastic customer service

I appreciate the product and support of Lidlox, but my personal preference was to take a piece of braided wire cable, sheath it in plastic tubing, loop and secure the ends and use a small lock to secure my helmet, coat, etc., to my Spyder.

    REVER route planner

Obviously, are a number of route planners available. I like trying different ones from time to time, but I always come back to Tyre and MyRouteapp to finalize the route. I most definitely like it the best for features, functionality, adaptability and reliability.
