• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I can't fathom the pain and grief of losing a child. I trust and pray Jesus' hands of healing are holding the family close.

Thanks for posting. Looks like a blast. Really wanted and tried to make the trip down, but dang, work and life got in the way. And to make it even more of a kick in the pants, the whole weekend was clouds, rain and storms here on the prairie. :(

    Intercom systems

There are a number of good units with equipment and features alike and different. I have used Scala and SENA in the past. since I was in the market for new headgear, I went with Nolan's N-Com system in a Nolan Trilogy helmet. The unit fits into the left side of the helmet. It's Bluetooth all the...

    Credit Card Hacked!

How bout a different twist? A good many years ago I took a trip to Colorado. I camped so the expenses weren't huge, but I used my credit card for fuel and other stuff. The total charged was right at a $750. When I got the statement it showed all the various purchases. I looked the bottom line...

    An Escort to Remember

Just experienced an awesome and truly humbling event. The PGR in Central Illinois and American Legion Riders in the area were invited to escort the Vietnam Traveling Wall to its stop in Decatur. I've done funerals and another escort mission, but this was simply awesome. As usual, I was flying...

Blown Rear Shock @ 13k Miles

The base model for my Performance RT is the A&C version so putting in and releasing air is manual. I noticed it felt really soft and would like bottom out. I'd put air in (20, 30, whatever pounds) and w/in a day or two it was acting the same. Got to the point w/in a month of purchase it wouldn't...

Blown Rear Shock @ 13k Miles

First signs of something not being right within a few weeks of purchase. Repairs were made at 1K, which didn't work. It was totally replaced at around 4K. It was covered under warranty.

    Brake Malfunction

Same year, model and issue as you. The great guys at Cowtown put a tie on the sprocket to keep the cable from jumping out of the groove. Never has happened again since their one minute fix.

    My Barn Find Spyder

Michael, It's really great to see you're back ryding. Like the others, I hope past issues are past and the future is bright. I remember the scene in Dale's pics and talking with you at MV. You with battery problem and as I recall, he was bemoaning the break up of his rear fender.

Skills Test on Can Am Spyder

In Illinois the skills tests are identical, whether 2 or 3 wheeled. The only difference is the cones are wider for the 3 wheelers. Avoidance, hard braking, turning, backing, etc., had to done within or without touching the lines accordingly. In preparation for my test I went to a nearby vacant...

KUTTAWA HARVEST FEST / BBQ ON BARKLEY / SPYDER RIDE Kentucky lake /Barkley lake

K, unlike last year, there are no known scheduling conflicts, so Laurie & I are planning to attend. Staying at the Days Inn this time. Year one was a hoot, had to miss last year, but looking forward to joining the fun in October. And who knows, maybe we can cause Jerry some heartburn...

    Grip buddies

Grip Buddies were a good product, just not for me. I didn't like the seam as it would rotate over time. They were too bulky for my hands. They were pretty much worn through within a few thousand miles. I took them off. I'm not looking to replace them with anything.
