• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

possible new motor for the spyder

Under the Tupperware I can't help but get the feeling, the tupperware would all fly off, followed by one's helmet, hair and clothing. :yikes:

Any Tenn. / North Carolina Riders Familiar with NC 105?

I'd appreciate getting some NC/TN riders' feedback on this: In late June, I'll be leading a few Spyders down to attend TrikeTalk.com's "Rally in the Valley," in Maggie Valley, NC (June 21-24). I've made the trip down to this region, between Gatlinburg and MV twice in the past. One of my...

    Help us with Corbin seat

Got a fuel door? ;) But seriously, I like Day Longs. A riding buddy who has a Road King went to Day Long a couple of years ago. He sent them his seat in the off-season. They they 're-foaminated' and recovered it with new vynl and his preferred pattern. Got it back ... beautiful. I can't tell if...

    Owners Poll: RT or RS?

I agree with the above to the extent that a bigger engine would be nice, aka better power-to-weight ratio. The Rotax 990 however appears to be the biggest engine Rotax makes. Great little engine ... but hmm ... think of a Syder with a BMW engine in it.

    Owners Poll: RT or RS?

I believe my response logged what I ride, stated no preference and provided some observations as to the background discussion. If indeed there wasn't an original question ... sure, maybe not ... then it's merely information.

    Owners Poll: RT or RS?

To the Question I don't think I've seen an answer to the original question yet. SteveMac didn't ask which model we prefer. He asked if we percieve more problems with the RT vs. the RS, or is perception because of percentage of owners (reading btwn lines: because the RS was out two years...

Lamonster's Cut This is the cut for those Spyderists who want their butts to feel everything Lamonster's butt experiences. You know, in Christianity you go to Jerusalem and walk down the Via Dolorosa; and in Spyderdom we have your ryde in Lamonster's Corbit/RT seat ... a spiritual experience...

    Other Bikers

But Seriously Folks ... I've really never gotten any flack from any other category of motorcyclist about my Spyder. They ask a lot of questions. Sometimes I say something self-deprecating like, "Well, it started out as a Hover-Round and I beefed it up." Most admire it and and some ask how...

    First MC accident

Well Wishes I'm pleased to see Weave2U is okay and the Spyder may be road-worthy again. Unfortunately the molecule brain who hit him is probably blaming those nasty bikers. I was curious ... What was her interaction with you, Weave, after she hit you? Did she stay with you, was she...

How many Spyder riders still own 2 wheelers?

My two wheels worth ... I still own my wonderful little Suzuki Burgman 650 Executive and plan on riding it as an off n' on commuter (it's 48 mpg just edges out the Spyder's 34 mpg). Haven't ridden it in a while. I'm curious as to 'muscle and equilibrium' confusion when switching back and forth...

Hey! I'm Famous! That's my Spyder :-) Those are the floorboards fabricated by "InspectorGadget," that he was selling at the Spyder Owners Event last year in Maggie Valley. The link Grandpa Spyder is showing is to InspectorGadget's products site. I may not be the only one who did it, but...

Spyder in the News. Not a good story for BRP

This seems to happen at least once a year I'm with Lamont. On my own behalf, this appears to be the Spring 2012 Smear-o-meter thread that draws all the harbingers of doom and naysayers who don't have all the information, but offer plenty of suppositions. This does nothing for our community...

Articulating /leaning Spyders, anyone seen one? 3 or 4 wheel?

Let Me Articulate ;-) BRP does have a patent for a leaning/articulating Spyder. It was published somewhere on this forum early this year or late 2010. However, I'll bet it never comes to market, which is not a bad thing. When I did The Dragon this past Summer, especially with my Inspector...
