• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Brake fluid flush cost - yikes! Does this sound right?

    ~~~hey copper!, you’re confusing DOT 5.1 with DOT 5. DOT 5.1 is glycol based just like DOT4 & DOT3. DOT 5 is silicone based and not compatible with any of the glycol base DOT brake fluids. DOT 5 was created essentially for the military where they have a lot of their vehicles sitting for years...
    Is the General Altimax RT45 an upgraded RT43?
    ~~~I’ll def keep an eye on the traction abilities of my OEM Kenda tires PMK. That said, I have no complaints at this point with these tires, rain or shine. I totally agree in regards to the cost of rubber. Tires are inexpensive, especially considering I have always done my own tire R&R but I’m...

    Is the General Altimax RT45 an upgraded RT43?

    ~~~I suspect you’re right PMK, that’s what I like about riding/owning a new bike, you really don't have to concern yourself with equipment replacement, in the short run, but then after that time is up…look out=:-) I realize reading all the posts of owners with Kenda rear tires (RT Spyders)...
    My brake wear history
    ~~~ain’t that the truth! I recall getting the rotors turned on my 68’ F-100 back in the 70’s, but after that, all the shops want to do anymore is replace, replace, replace! Nowadays they claim there isn’t enough material on the rotor to ‘get it back in spec’. I also recall reading in Consumer...

    What's the best Can Am Spyder lift?

    Is the General Altimax RT45 an upgraded RT43?

    ~~~based on your results PID, I should get another year out of my OEM rear tire. I’ve only accumulated 4K miles after 12 months ownership, my 2021 RTL, so that is good news for me, in that i wont have to bother swapping rubber on the rear rim. Thank you for posting this information Best...
    Can-Am didn't get the memo I guess - 2023 Electric Motorcycles release....
    ~~~I have to ask. You’re able to sell the excess electricity you generate from solar back to the electric utility aren’t you? Or to put it another way,(asking a question) does your electric utility company buy back electricity you’re able to generate from your solar panels? Apologies in...

    New Guy on Left Coast - picked up our new F-3 S!

    ~~~congrats for taking the first major step which is actually acquiring a machine (Can Am Spyder) to ride. Best advice I could offer to you, forget about playing Ricky Racer on your new toy. Ride it sensibly (remember you’re riding on public streets and roads, not a race track) & lawfully for a...
    New Guy on Left Coast - picked up our new F-3 S!
    ~~~first of all you need someone to host your photos. Not recommending them but, I have been using Flickr prolly for a dozen years. They’re free up to a point then when you have accumulated X amount of pics there is a monthly fee. At first Flickr was very economical then they were bought & sold...

    Can anyone recommend a Spyder Repair Shop in Homosassa FL

    ~~~ a shop w/a good mechanic will be able to resolve your issue but, if you want to try remedy this on your own, a bad tire can cause the wobble you’re experiencing. If you’re able to swap rubber on your own, I’d start there. What is the age of the tires on this 2015 Spyder & how many miles are...
    Anyone go from a RTL to a Ryker?
    Recommend any Wind deflectors for 2020 RT?
    ~~~i purchased a cat delete kit shortly after acquiring Cretin Girl (my 21’ RTL) yet at the time i was recuperating from finger surgery on my dominant hand so i postponed tackling that installation as I wasn’t capable of moving forward w/the install on my own. That said, I’m fully capable now...

    Recommend any Wind deflectors for 2020 RT?

    ~~~replying mainly to agree with what you said. Ever since i purchased a 2021 Spyder RTL in early August 2021, I’ve not felt a need at all to try for more air movement on this fine machine. I ride with the stock windscreen in the lowered position and haven’t felt a need to raise it on most...
    Advice Please - Want to get back to riding.
    Perusing this thread, this is the 1st time I ever heard anyone claim a Ryker is hard to steer. Having said that, i bought a new 2020 Ryker Rally in the spring of 2020, rode it for better than a year before trading it in on the 2021 Spyder RT I now ride. Looking back, I never felt that my Ryker...
    Suction pump for 1330 oil change?
    ~~~~I hear ya Sarge! I’m struggling with advancing age & I have an idea I’m younger than you. Turned 65 this past November. When I did the 1st oil change on my 2021 Spyder RT recently (month ago?) I was cursing (under my breath) having to get down on the garage floor to remove the oil in this...

    Parasitic battery drain on an RT - could it be the Park Brake?

    Hey Mike!, I’d be willing to bet the switch that activates the parking brake is an electro-magnetic switch meaning once the switch it turned on or activated (as when you press the parking brake button) a magnet in the switch sets the parking brake and keeps it locked by way of a magnet then to...

    Anyone here like to drink malt liquor?

    Just wondering. Normally I prefer a lighter beer but last week I picked up a 4 pack of Anheuser Busch Hurricane High Gravity (8.1% Alcohol by Volume) Category 5, in 16 ounce cans. Jake’s professional opinion *, not bad at all. Tastes like beer w/o being overly gritty?, if that’s a legitimate...
