• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Stock Seat for 2012 Spyder RT SE5

Recently purchased a 2012 Spyder RT from a friend which due to his size had the original seat configuration altered. This friend and I had 2012 RTs but I sold mine a few years back but regretted doing so, so I’m back on the road, but the seat has got to go. Has anyone upgraded or changed seats...

    Do I or Don't I

Still have problems with a 2012 RT SM5 after trips to two different dealerships and 7 weeks of down time and emails to BRP. My clutch resivoir on the handlebar has bled down 3 times leaving me with no pressure on the clutch lever. After refilling and working the clutch I get it back. The first...

    Time to pull the plug.

Love my 12RT and loved the rides and events and those that made them all possible. But dealerships and lack of service support for the vehicle has pretty well bummed me out. I truly envy those of you that are blessed with well equipped, stocked and staffed dealerships that are dedicated in...

Can't get to front fuse panel

Accidentally grounded a gauge wire in the dash when checking with a meter. Thought it wasn't going to be a problem....wrooong!. The fuses under the seat are fine and I'm sure it's the fwd fuses, however I have and electric hood unlatch that wont unlatch because the fuse is blown. I need a little...

    Passenger grip Heaters

On today's ride I tried to show DW how to turn on the heated passenger grips, however no heat. After we got home I checked to see if the 2012 RT Audio Convenience actually came with the bike or not. After all I thought there were speakers in the rear also, but just because the grills are there...

    Apple iPhone Camera Mount

During the Lamonster Bar-B-Que ride I saw every video camera set up known to man or woman. Here's the direction I went. After seeing several posted videos, I knew I had to have the capability, and at the same time convert or use what I had, an iPhone 4. Optrix makes a Sport case with an enhanced...

    Chasing the Side cover again!

Twice now my riding buddy has risked himself to save my ($&@") side cover. Both times he has seen it go airborne and has been able to stop and dodge traffic to make a recovery before some 18 wheeler renders it Unrecognizable. I have the new style grommets and I do check to make sure the top tab...

    Scary discovery

Love my RT, but I've been finding some things that are a little scary, and other owners need to check. Both my friend and I purchased RTs in July from a dealerships two different locations. My friends RT doesn't seem to suffer from the same oversights and problems that I've encountered so I feel...

    License Plate light Fiasco

I'm in awe again over some of the cheapie and thoughtless features I've come across in my 2012 RT. Today I removed the 2 screws to remove the lens of my license plate light. To my surprise it isn't only a lens but a complete module encapsulated in a rubber boot. That really isn't a bad thing...

PAINT,PAINT,PAINT Quantum Blue to be exact

I know they must have it somewhere cause they painted a lot of Spyders with it, but I can't seem to find it. I recently had the left hand side panel blow off, recovered it, but it slid paint side down to the road. I tried the BRP site in effort to just replace the panel.....well they don't seem...
