• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Dealership said No

I wanted to remove two useless gauges (fuel and temperature) by disconnecting them and having their equivalents to appear on my central display. Then have those disconnected gauges replaced by a dash power socket for my GPS and a digital voltmeter. I bought all spare parts and wire harness. When...

    I doubt it

I doubt it. (One day of my life) I am busy, very busy, almost every single day. Early morning; quick shower; cold sandwich. Trip to work, things to remember, never forget. Things that were abandoned but needed to be revived. First in the office; can’t open the door; keys are left in the car...

    Plush Meets Slush ...

... at the Teddy Bear Toss There was a warm and fuzzy feeling in the air when a flurry of plush met slush as part of the 19th annual Petro-Canada Teddy Bear Toss event on December 1st. 120 volunteers and their families helped to clear the 25,921 bears that fell to the ice. Following the...

    True motorcycle road race

Each lap is 37.75 miles long with over 200 turns. And the record for a single lap is over 130 MPH. There are straight sections where the bikes hit over 200 MPH -- You can actually read their speedometers. It Is hard to imagine such riding speeds but they do it every year at the end of May and...

    Belt alignment

I'm new to Spyders and their alignment issues, but I am somewhat concerned about it after reading so many threads on this forum about all kinds of misalignments. I'm pretty sure there is a reason why Rolo and Lamont offer their services to us. And now here is my question. I took my RT to the...

    Very first 2007 Spyder

I was wondering if anyone remembered: 1. What was so good about 2007 Spyder (one specific feature or a list of those) that BRP wouldn't dare to "improve?" 2. Why it was so good, and is it still present on my 2012 rts-se5, or was it "modified" so much that it is no longer there? Just askin'...

    Winter battery maintenance

What do people do with their Spyder batteries during winter months? My Spyder will be stored in a non-heated garage. On my previous bike I used to just remove my battery and bring it home, but then it was very easy to do on that bike. With my new Spyder it sounds like quite a hassle. Maybe I...
