• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Hard to sell?

I'm not sure if my ad is the issue, but I have what seems to be the nicest Spyder RSS (2011) for sale locally (Manitoba) , still with Manufacturers warranty till next year. It shows well and looks nice, mileage is low, it is posted for book value (although everything around here seems to sell...

Badly slipping clutch on 2011 RSS SM5

7000 miles, mostly highway. Oil in the case is 50/50 BRP oil change kit oil / Valvoline motorcycle oil 10W40, due to an oil change "incident". I've ridden over 1200 hard miles, lots of WOT (carving twisties last weekend), and suddenly today, going down the highway, I give it maybe 1/2 throttle...

    Sachs rear shock an upgrade?

I am not impressed with the dampening charictaristics of the OEM rear shock, and I am wondering if the Sachs shock from a 2013 ST would be an improvement? It hasting extra bit of travel, but if anyone has experience with the older and newer style shocks, let me know, thx. it is also possible...

Ongoing Mods Thread - Turning an RSS into an RST

Folks are always looking for mods, I am looking to turn our RSS, which is a "sport" machine, into a comfortable sport machine that can also tour. I don't want an RT or an ST, I want and RS that can tour, so the usual suspects that deride this idea can enjoy watching me vaporize dollars and keep...

So... I got an F3 as a loaner - Not for me

I'll start by saying I own a quad, and a new snowmobile, and riding my Spyder (New 2 weeks ago RSS) is the most fun I've had in a long time! I have ridden an older RS and it had vibes and uncooperative shifting, but was still a blast. So today, I had to get the break-in checkup and oil change...

Lack of traction / excessive wheel spin

Anyone else's bike like this? I can't go full throttle in and of the first 3 gears, I even had the traction control light flash at 80mph on my first run to 90mph or so, in 4th gear iirc. I know the roads are a bit dusty, but this thing shreds the rear tire, even with a smooth launch, if I am...

    2013 RS - 6 less hp an 100# heavier?

So I decided to weigh my 2011 spyder RS a truck scale, fueled with me on it, 990#! Sounds close, 220# for me with gear, 50# fuel, etc. So BRP says the 2013 weighs 799#, and has 100hp, down 6hp. This seems strange, anyone know what's going on with that?

    From perspective owner to OWNER - New Spyder - 2011 RS-S SM5

So after renting a GS for 4 days in northern California, when my wife and I put on 1300 miles, and being thoroughly impressed, we found a brand new / non-current - 2011 RSS SM5 with .8km's on it. Some observations of the rental. Lots of fun with! We did almost all top notch twisty roads, and...

Hello all! This post will be long, but for those of you that like long stories here ya go! First off, I'm 35, total powersports junkie, married to woman who loves to passenger, and strangely, gets very bored going slow. I owned and rode a sportbike before owning a car. I am one of those folks...
