• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Parked Spyder SE5 stuck in Reverse

I went out to start the 2011 RT SE5 this morning and the danged tranny is stuck in Reverse. Does anyone know how to get it to neutral? Thanks

    June 16th Spyder Ride

My wife, Charlene and I enjoyed our ryde today until the accident in Eureka Springs. Unfortunately Charlene hit the throttle instead of the brake. We have a cramp buster on the throttle due to my bad hand to help me. Well, as she got onto the curb the action threw her hand into the throttle...

    Analog Tachometer intermittent

Twice so far in low temperatures I have had occurances of the analog tach failing to work. The first time it did not function until I stopped shutdown pulled the key and waited few seconds and then restarted and it worked properly. Today it functioned except about three grand less than it should...

What happens when you have a break down on a trip away from home?

Our six month old 2011 RT Limited broke down on Tuesday and had to be hauled into the shop for a suspected TPS problem. Dealer ordered new TPS via 2nd day air and then installed same today and it was not the problem, but BRP says it is likely the Throttle Body itself. So, another order via 2nd...

New wrap on front of our 2011 RT Limited

We wanted a military theme for our Spyder and this is what we came up with along with a great amount of assistance from Pete Ameno of PowerSportsWraps and Tom Adkins of AAA - Vector Graphics. It was applied by the folks at Chambers Sign of Bentonville, Arkansas --- not a job for a novice, as it...

Christmas Tree show on the dash of our 2011 RT SE5 Limited

I took our Spyder to the graphics folks to apply my new trunk wrap this morning and when it was finished I turned the key on and it looked like a Christmas Tree lighting ceremony on the Starship Enterprise on the dash and the gauges were flapping up and down. What a show and then unable to do...

    Moto-Mate Motorcycle trailer

I would like some real world feed back on how they like this trailer. It looks like a great concept for traveling and having the option of staying along side the road during a storm or just general camping while traveling. Are they more difficult to tow than the standard RT-622 trailer. Are...

Custom paint or wrap for the "frunk"

I would really like to do something with our 2011 RT SE5 Limited to personalize it a bit. I am leaning in the direction of a variation of the theme of my avatar since I am retired from the Navy and the wife is still serving. I'm a "mustang" while she is not, but it will have a naval theme to...

    Spyders in Northwest Arkansas

I seldom meet another Spyder. This past Saturday we met two Spyder RS going west on Highway 62 near Garfield. I talked with Tony Jones of Bradford Marine and the folks at Springdale and it does not seem like there is a real strong interest in setting up Spyder Chapters here in Arkansas. You...

Bravo Zulu to Bradford Marine in Springdale

Had my first DPS fault that put me into limp mode yesterday. We were coming off of the long hill between Carr Lane and Eagle Rock, Mo on Highway 86 when the problem popped up as we hit the bottom of the hill. Managed to reset the thing and get home. This morning I called Terry Brown and told...

    Limp Mode and DPS Fault

We have a 2011 RT SE-5 Limited. Current mileage is 5,100 miles. No problem at all from day one. Today we decided to take a nice ride to Branson, MO as we enjoy going over at least once a month. On the way home we were about 30 miles away from home. We were just coming down a hill, across...

    Safety Card Warning

Okay, I understand the lawyers have litigated us into this stuff, but having to wait for the computer to put that stupid screen up every time I switch the Spyder on and then depress the Mode switch in order to start it is ridiculous.:gaah: Sometimes when I stop for fuel and restart it does not...

    Watchout for deer

I often stop for deer in the road and keep a close eye out for them on the county road in front of my farm. I know where they generally cross and am especially dilligent in those areas. Having known two guys that have hit deer on motorcycles I do not want to ever do it. One of the riders died...

Is your Spyder your primary mode of transportation

AFAIAK your Spyder should be treated as your primary mode of transportation. That is by BRP and their dealers around the country. I see so many threads where is seems like folks feel it is okay for their Spyder to remain at a dealer for parts or repairs for a week or longer (sometimes very...

    RT Exhaust

I'm sure this subject has came up in the past, but here it is again. Does anyone know of a manufacturer that makes a quieter exhaust than the OEM on the RT? Loud pipes were great when I was a kid, but now that I am older quiet is nice.

Mods wanted after riding a long trip

We have ridden a bit over 750 miles since yesterday morning on our 2011 RT Limited with RT-622 trailer in tow. #1 Elka Shocks are going to the top of the list. (PM sent on this.) #2 Road pegs or foot boards are mandatory. #3 Quieter exhaust is very much desired. #4 Larger windshield would be...

More on BRP and Trailer License Brackets

We bought our new combo of the Limited and matching trailer on April 23rd. Well, when it was finally delivered I discovered that my motorcycle trailer tags could not be mounted to the existing full sized trailer plate holes provided by BRP (no screws or anything else provided.) I've been...

Corbin seat & arm rest installation on RT

My son and I plan to install the new Corbin saddle, seat back, and arm rests on our new RT Limited this Saturday. The instructions look pretty straight forward. If anyone has any experience with this install are there any areas to be aware of that will be problems. We did not get the heated...

    Trailer license plate bracket?

How do you folks with RT-622 trailers attach your plates? The problem is that the holes will not match up. The screw holes on the trailer are 7 inches center-to-center and the holes on the license plate is 5 3/4 inches center-to-center. MC trailer plates are the same size as standard MC...

    Paperwork from dealership

It has been 24 days since we paid for RT Limited and matching trailer and still no documents. In my state you have 30 days to assess, pay taxes, and tag a vehicle. They are telling me it takes three weeks and legally they have the full 30 days before they have to provide it and any penalties...
