• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Backrest - BRP or Showchrome for a 2020 RT-L?

After a decade of riding without one, I think I'd like to add the support of a backrest. The two contenders seem to be the BRP stock backrest at $360 (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07ZG3D38R/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1), and the Showchrome version sold by Lamonster and others at $212...

Looking for a Route Tracker App

For years, I've used a $5-ish app called Route Tracker that did simple GPS tracking and was able to be shared with my wife just by sending her a link once I started my ride. I could easily look back on old rides on a Google Map, and it had no monthly fee. All good things must come to an end...

Is there a fix yet for the fit and finish issue with the 2020RT-L

I know this has been discussed, but I can't track down the right way to handle this with dealer (who isn't particularly great). For the fit and finish issue where there are gaps on each side above the saddle bags, is there a BRP fix yet, and what are the details? Thanks!

2020 RT 12 Volt Power Outlet -- WHERE IS IT?

(I've searched the manual) and can not find where the "12 volt power outlet" is. In my 2014 RT, putting the fuse in the right spot kept the cigarette lighter power adapter on, but moving that has no effect on the USB ports on the 2020, and I can't find another outlet that might the "12 volt...

    2020 RT Phone Mount

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 2020 RT-L and am looking for a good replacement for the Providence Spyder Accessories Phone mount on my current 2014 RT. I'd like something that mounts the phone right in the CENTER of the handlebars, as I use as my GPS, is easy to plug in (or, even better...

    Don't Test Ride a 2020 RT...

...at least unless you want to buy one! I had a great chance at a local dealership to ride a 2020 RTL with my wife on the back. I own a 2014 RT-S SE6, and here are my impressions: 1 - Yes, I can put my shocks I got for my 2014 on a 2020. Since the shocks I have can be rebuilt by the...

Are 2020 RT shocks & windshield the same as 2014-19?

I've got a great set of front and rear Racetech shocks that I would ideally want to service and move from my 2014 RT-S (if I pull the trigger on a 2020 Limited RT). Does anybody know if they are compatible? Same question on the windshield - can I continue to use the two I already own? I...

Changing License Plate Bulb - help needed

I don't do much of my own work, but I figured that changing a light bulb ought to be easy. My license plate bulb on my 2014RT was easy to get to, but in trying to put it all back together, I realized that I needed to be able to access the interior to hold the piece in place that the light...

    Ryker Road Show

I has a chance to go to the Ryker Event today in LA. They do a great job of putting everything on display, and have a very sophisticated computer display for customizing your own ride. They also had music and free food. It was nice to see them getting behind the new ride, although the event...

    F3-T Heated Passenger Grips (?)

Does the F3-T have heated passenger grips, and if not are there any options? I'm thinking ahead to my next Spyder, and this is key for my wife. Thanks in advance for any info or advice.

40K miles so far - how many miles will a 1330 engine RT last?

In three years, I've put 40,000 miles on my Spyder, and I'd like to keep it running dependable for another 40-60K miles before I have to buy a new one. I'd like to find out the experience of others in dependability and longevity after the first 40K miles for RT's with the 1330 engine.

    Replacing Battery

It looks like I accidentally drained my battery, and charging it using an external charger isn't working very well. I'm going to try a jump with my car and see if the alternator fully charges it, but if I've damaged the battery I'm wondering if I need a Spyder mechanic to replace it, or if I...

BRP Cares, please comment on the new line up.

I'm asking BRP for a comment on the new line up and the discontinued models, as this is a topic that is important to many here. Personally, I'm not an RS or ST rider, so the change doesn't affect me. I'm sure the change was one of business necessity, but I would like to understand more. I'm...

The Right Tool - what to use to adjust the passenger foot peg

I looked through the tool kit that came with my Spyder, only to find that there isn't a tool that will fit in the right way to allow me to raise the passenger foot peg (there is a wrench that fits, but I couldn't get it at an angle where I could get any leverage to actually turn it). Has...

L.A. to Vegas - is there a fun way to go?

I'm looking to see if anybody has tried and enjoyed an alternate route from Los Angeles to Las Vegas (besides the 15). It's certainly fun to start by going over the 2, but that's familiar territory for me. Has anybody tried the 40 or the 66, or perhaps another route, and found more than desert...

    Question about Low Windshield Options

I got a chance to try out an F3 today at the motorcycle show (yes, it rocks). Probably my favorite aspect of the ride (on this unusually hot November day in L.A.) was the very low windshield. The experience of being in the wind on the F3 was exhilarating, and there was really no comparison...

    Baja Ron Sway Bar Regrets

I put the sway bar on my Spyder on Monday, and took it out for about 200 miles of mostly canyon riding on Tuesday, and am feeling really regretful THAT IT TOOK ME SO LONG TO GET ONE THESE DAMN THINGS! I kept hearing from everybody here how great it was, and how it would add stability to your...

    Life expectancy of stock shocks

I'm wondering what others have found to be the well performing life expectancy of the stock shocks on an RT (I have a 2014 RT-S). My mechanic (who does great work and is very well respected) has suggested that they largely wear out around 15K with serious riding. I think I feel a difference...
