• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any recommendations for 3-season long distance touring jacket and pants?

I am on my second KLIM Latitude jacket. Waterproof, durable, good ventilation for warmer days. I have a random pair of BMW pants which are also waterproof. I would say pants are a much more subjective thing. Body types, inseams, comfort more critical than jackets.

NHTSA Campaign 26V575000 - 2025-2026 Spyder RT, F3, & Canyon freezing cluster fix issued

Or have it on a Battery Tender. My Battery Tender took about 10-20 mins to get to 'green' and then the "install' button was no longer greyed-out.

2012 RT - Anyone have an idea of the Cost of a New Belt, Installed?

It is just a fraying on the edge - in an area of maybe 4-5". So, from the great feedback I am getting here, it does not seem to be an imminent issue.

Rear tire options - any suggestions?

Sorry if this has been discussed before but with so much pushback against the Kendas, why hasn't BRP worked with other tire manufacturers and/or had Kenda improve the design?

2012 RT - Anyone have an idea of the Cost of a New Belt, Installed?

Today, I noticed a slight fray of the drive belt on my 2012 Spyder RT. Anyone have a rough idea of the cost for the dealer to replace it?

    Union Pacific Big Boy locomotive

Couple shots from the stop at Steamtown 2 weeks ago. I was there on Tuesday (2nd day). The folks were saying that the first day was a bit of a mess, logistically. It was pretty well ironed out day 2 and a good experience. -

Well, that's News to Me - Dealer won't service Spyders over 10 years old!

This is the reason our Spyder is likely our last as well. My wife puts few miles on hers - but loves it. So, the vehicle is in great shape, low miles but we worry about being able to service and repair it. That being said, it is too costly to just write off after a low number of years due to a...

What is your plan for Replacement batteries for the Canyon?

I recall a comment in a motorcycle forum years ago. People were discussing buying farkles to shave weight, such as titanium exhaust, and the cost. Someone commented that some of the cheapest things to buy, and most effective, to reduce motorcycle weight and enhance performance are carrots and...

    Spyderless, but not gone!

My thoughts as well. For myself, I would likely pick up a used Miata. A friend I used to ride with met with some serious health issues last year and had to stop riding 2 wheels. He found a very nice Honda S2000 and loves it. Harder to find than a Miata... but similar shift.

Are there any Independent service alternatives in NJ and Eastern PA that I could reach out for servicing an older Spyder? (2012 RT)

I have a 2012 Spyder RT and encountered some major problems today. The vehicle is non-running. All the dealers that I phoned said they would not work on a 2012 with issues I am experiencing until winter. They will only do the basic maintenance. Does anyone know of any independent service shops...

How many of your Spouse's ride their own machines?

I am here because, while I rode two wheels, she wanted something to ride herself. Thua, we purchased the Spyder. She has since been ill and not able to ride. I now ride the Spyder and we hope to start doing two-up rides again soon. If that goes well, we hope to do some road trips.

Antenna Snapped, need a replacement - recommendations? And Shuddering at low RPM - any ideas?

Since the old antenna snapped off low, I was able to use a deep socket to remove the base. It was on pretty tightly though and I could see the blue Loctite.

Antenna Snapped, need a replacement - recommendations? And Shuddering at low RPM - any ideas?

I had two bad luck items today with my wife's 2012 Spyder RT. First, I had a quite a bit of shuddering at lower RPM. I was concerned that it was the clutch but, after research, I think it may be bad gas. My wife has been ill the last several years and last year, it was not ridden many miles. I...
