• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Welcome, RCWatchman

Welcome to the Forum RC. (y) It's best not to ask support questions in this 'Welcome' section for a heap of reasons, so once you get a chance, head on out to the more frequented parts of the Forum, find the right sub-forum for your questions, and post up in there, I'd think the GS/RS General or...

How different are the various V-twin powered 2013-2016 ST & RT models?

Fixed it for you. ^ :giggle: Others might chime in with a few more 'exceptions to prove the rule', but effectively, if it's not tupperware; the final muffler (they all have the same Cat Converter/eliminator, but the RT's might have different length 'slip-ons' to suit/clear their panniers, but...

    Any riders in NE Tennessee?

@Gregk, while Ron will almost certainly eventually get to see your post and respond, you'll likely get a much quicker response if you click on his avatar pic alongside his post above, then select 'Send a Direct Message' with your request. Due to the Forum Rules, he's not going to share anyone...

Ever driven your Spyder onto a ferry?

That's not awful PDX. They do stop the ferry service there if things get  too rough. ;) A few years back, while on a bit of a tour over there, the Child Bride'n I had a looonnng ferry trip (well, it was 'a ride' really!) almost all the way over, before the ferry got sent back to...

How can I leave the parking brake off when parked in the garage?

IIRC, it IS a part of the cluster. For most, it's really  FAAARRRR more of a bother (and a risk) to try to do anything to it than it is to just ignore it; but if that's what you wanta do, it is your bike. :sneaky:

How can I leave the parking brake off when parked in the garage?

Just leave it beeping until the beeping stops - it only lasts about 30 seconds. ;)

How different are the various V-twin powered 2013-2016 ST & RT models?

Your ST and all the 2013-2016 RS/RSS/ST models are really the same bikes, ie. they're virtually identical under the skin, and the same as the 2013 RT's, all of which had the V-twin motor. The 2013's RT's were originally intended to get a bunch of suspension and brake upgrades as well as the new...

    2024 F3T vibration at 3800 to 4000 rpm - any ideas?

Try typing the word 'vibration ' into the Search field (up towards the top right of the page); tick the 'Search titles only' box; submit the search; then spend some time reading all of the many, many, many threads with titles suggesting that they refer to this issue. And you don't...

Interesting conversation at the gas pump - asked why I chose to ride a Spyder rather than 'a real motorcycle'?!

Right On, John!! (y) My High Speed Mobilty Scooter (a 2013 RT that's had Jase from Rotax Racing's magic wand waved over the ECU & IKON Shock enhanced suspension) has scared the pants off soo many 2-wheel riders who were sooo convinced that this thing with three wheels couldn't possibly out...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Glad you're safe Deanna, you are right in that you really can't afford to be thinking about other things when you're out riding! :sneaky: Be Safe, Be Alert, and Be Aware of your Surroundings! (y)

What just happened? Two weeks old: Engine shut down, VSS Error.

Are you 100% sure that the dealer put that new Yuasa battery on a proper charger for at least 8 hours immediately before installing it in your Spyder?? And does that new Yuasa battery have at least 350 CCA & 21 A/hr capacity?? :cautious: There again, even brand new batteries can die...

Does anyone have real info on when we can expect to see 2024-25 Service Manuals?

Don't sell yourself short Keith. If you want the technical description, PDF simply stands for "Portable Document Format", so a pdf file is the file format used to copy, move/transfer, and present documents in a way that maintains their formatting across different devices and...

Where is the relay box on a Spyder RT 2011?

Here's an earlier post showing where the relays are on a 2014 RT - lotsa other info too, that might be completely useless to anyone, but there's a pic of where they are, just click on the attachment. ;)

Where is the relay box on a Spyder RT 2011?

I must say that I haven't gone out to look at my Spyder or either of the two early RT's in the yard atm, I'm not allowed to walk that far just yet, but I truly cannot remember any relays near the brake reservoirs... What year is your RT?? What side panel or plate are you moving to get at...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

You might be lucky enough to find someone who can help with info on a local mechanic, but removing an old sway bar and fitting an Ultra bar really isn't something that's beyond most people who know which end of a screwdriver to hit or a spanner to spin, IF you can get down there. ;) Just to...

Where is the relay box on a Spyder RT 2011?

IIRC, most early RT Fuses & Relays are under covers mounted on the back wall of the frunk... If you have a frunk liner, you may need to remove or at least open that to see them, and they can be a little tight/hard to open. Good Luck. (y)

Tire search - what is everyone going to these days?

Those marks aren't mandatory, and on better quality tires like the AltiMax, while it's not all that common, it does happen that every now and then, the tire gods intervene/all the markers align and a really well made tire comes thru the manufacturing process without any significant high/low...
