• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rewiring Lamonster Fog Light Switch

So, since we are in lock down and I am "teleworking", thought now would be as good a time as any to revisit this. Using Rattlebars schematic and the Can Am wiring diagram, I managed to get it working perfectly (Fog lights off/switch light off - Fog lights on/switch light on) I ran two new...

    Fault Code P0811

It's a SM6. One of the main reasons I got her the manual is so that she could have control over the gears...irony can be pretty ironic sometimes :roflblack:

    Fault Code P0811

Yes, I showed her the report. I softened the blow by telling her that "I probably do this too, it's just that my bike isn't smart enough to tell me." Which is kind of a fib since I rarely even use the rear brake on my bike, so the lack of my coordination on my part does not really come into...

    Fault Code P0811

Just a quick PSA on how smart (maybe too smart) the Spyder is... A few weeks ago, on our way home from a group ride, wifey was riding along on her F3. As we merged onto a highway on ramp, I looked back to see that she and another rider had pulled off onto the breakdown lane. I pulled off a...

    Finally lit up the Spyder

Sigh...:opps: I may just place some transparent amber tape on them now and turn them green. :sour:

    Finally lit up the Spyder

They are VERY much blue. Yeah, I know I am taking a chance with that, but I also have red LEDs on my R1 and have never had any issues. Rumor has it, as long as they are not forward facing, they won't mess with you. And it is very much spelled out in the in the "2010 Maryland Code...

    Finally lit up the Spyder

Finally got around to lighting up the F3. Took longer and was more tedious than it should have since I am sure I have a touch of OCD when it comes to things like this...I try to make it so that not a single light strip or wire can be seen in the daylight. I think it turned out pretty nice.

Spyder Impressed the Big Boys This Weekend

So this weekend wifey and I did a Philly Cheesesteak run to Philadelphia from D.C. with a few friends. She was on her F3 S, I was on my Yamaha R6 (R1 is in the shop due to a cager making a left turn in front of me a few weeks ago :sour:) Two of my buddies were on Harleys and another on a...

    Rewiring Lamonster Fog Light Switch

Yeah, from what I seeing/reading, this may be a good option. But I will most certainly revisit this. I WILL NOT BE BEATEN!!

    Rewiring Lamonster Fog Light Switch

Yep, I noticed that there is a slight depression when the switch is engaged, however that is near impossible to feel with gloves on as well as see at night. I am not knocking Lamonster's design at all...it's just a preference. I have searched far (but not wide) for a dual LED switch (e.g. blue...

    Rewiring Lamonster Fog Light Switch

Hey all... I am getting wifey's Spyder ready for the season, and I thought I would address an "issue" that I wanted to tackle last season. I have the Lamonster LED fog lights...and if you do not have them, I HIGHLY recommend them!! It is one of the best mods you can do to the Spyder...

    Manual Or Semi-Auto?

I had the same dilemma when I bought the F3 for my wife as a surprise Xmas gift. Since she was not with me, I had to totally guess on what she may prefer. I thought I wanted her to just enjoy the ride and not have to worry about up/down shifting. However, since she came of riding a street...

    Not happy with LED headlights

I have installed Lamonts LED headlight bulbs (as well as fog lights) and the difference between the OEM bulbs and his are night and day. IMOH they literally punch a hole in the darkness. They come pre-clocked and I did not find any need to adjust them. I would admit, when I first decided to...

    Windshield thread for vertically challenged

Same here. I am not so much concerned if the 129 it will be tall enough...but hopefully just enough to buffer some of the air. She also rides a sport bike (Yamaha R6) so she is used to having some air hitting her. Heading to the dealership shop to pick up it and will have it installed by this...

    Windshield thread for vertically challenged

Thanks for the replies. I decided to go ahead and order the Route 129 from a local dealer. They are going to put a rush on it so it should be here as soon as today. The 200 mile trip to Norfolk should be a good road test for it. Will post back m.

    Windshield thread for vertically challenged

Hello all. Yes, I know this subject has been beaten down however, from all the post I have seen, most have discussed windshields for regular height riders. My wife, however, is all of about 4' 12. Lately, she has been saying that the wind on her F3 S is getting to be a bit unbearable. I...

Ordered the Clutch assist kit from BRP

So I had the clutch assist mod completed today. Decided to let the dealer install it. Since I am working on my Yamaha R1 and R6 getting them ready for the season, I knew I wouldn't have time to work on this...even though I knew they charged $220.00 to install it. Rode it home (about 25 miles)...

Ordered the Clutch assist kit from BRP

Yup...that was it. Thanks! Gave my dealer the memo number and he found what I was talking about. He said to just give him a call when I'm ready and he will order the parts. He HIGHLY recommended that I have them put it on ($300+ parts and labor). Now, I know my way around a monkey wrench...

Ordered the Clutch assist kit from BRP

So I have called 3 of my local dealers and asked about the "clutch assist system mod" and neither one of them knew what I was talking about. I am supposed to call back to one of them Friday when their shop manager is back in. Hopefully, he will know what I am referring to. Which dealer did...
