• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Front tyre sizes. How big can you go? Whats best?

as per mike's earlier recommendation I bought and installed Toyo Proxes T 185/55-15 and the nanny on my 2016 loves them as much as I do. No complaints from her at all. Ridden in all sorts of weather, no hydroplaning, grip like glue in all conditions & allows turning sharper & faster in all turns...

Lost key - how do I get one made without it?

Once you get Two (2) keys (minimum) done put one under the service door hidden. You will save lots of money and grief. Get your son to pay for them and the new key unit and the programming and all. Not gonna be cheap. Sorry. Don't know if this will help.... might be pre D.E.S.S. problems

Is there a list of F3 changes through the years?? What were they?

by 2018, resetting the canbus by using the hazard lights to cure hyperflash went away. Not sure if this is true or not. Been asking for years for someone to confirm it's gone, but have not gotten a definitive response despite asking several times. Maybe I'll get a response this time. Does this...

    Motor started running poor

Another wise habit ... never get gas @ a station that has a tanker parked in it filling the underground cisterns. That stirs up all sorts of stuff into the fuel in the cisterns.

18 F3L: issues removing the frunk?!?

There are raised panels on each end. Insert finger from the front and lift. Get some plumbers grease and put on the pins to make it easier to do next time. Lifting from the rear of the panel will just have it hitting the upper cowl/headlight and it won't come out (on the F3 at least).

Just bought the Dynojet PV3 for my 18 F3L

PC is not for me. All it does is change the throttle position sensor to "already on." Say to get the stock acceleration normally you twist the throttle from 0° for none to 90° for full acceleration. With the PC on the "wild" setting, twisting the throttle 30° tells the TPS you've twisted it 90°...

    Buy a 2016 F3 Limited Special Series or a 2020 F3 - any thoughts?

Good choice. Both fine machines. My 16 has many features that the later models had eliminated. Older models many have better performance than newer.

Winter Storage - any problems if I remove the battery?

I don't winterize. I have heated gear (make your own -> https://www.rattlebars.com/heated/) and find a way to ride all year 'round (much easier now since I have a winter home in SC :D ) If there is no ice no problem. Good on my GL1800 and now F3T. PS: I have an old walmart Schumacher battery...

    Handlebar Vibration

Sounds like a balance issue. Improper balance from the start or you may have thrown a wieght. I'm running Toyo Proxes T 185/55-15 up front and since the tire shop did not have "cones" small enough to spin balance them. I tried beads. No real go on beads with tires that are "flat" profile like...

Belt Tensioner included on new 2021 Spyder F3-S Special Series

From the fiche @ Partshark. If you do have the #350 one, double check the two mounting bolts #350a. The Loctite coating on them is so thick they take loads of torque to completely tighten down snug to the frame as needed.

    2020 F3L hard shifting

I have no problem using Rotella t6 5W40 and this time using Castrol 5w40 synthetic. Both purchased at Wally World for cheeep. Castrol seems to cause a bit of delay when starting out cold, but it sure does make for easily smoking the tire at full tilt!

    F3L stereo rocks now..BRP connect

From amazon. I've been using this as a broadcaster blue tooth to my headset from my old tv. My new tv has BT built in. I have switched this to receive and use it through the aux input on the F3. For those without BuRP connect. Works good...

Don't buy a BRP Belt Tensioner

What does that mean? If your idler is loose at the base where to the bolts are, it will eventually blow. Grab a ratchet and tighten the bolts. I believe they are 12mm.
