• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Thanks for all the help. The two we were going to ride just sold. So it may be a while before we get on one.

Do People Get Thrown Off of Spyders?

I know, maybe a dumb question. But as someone coming from two wheels and being used to leaning a bike into a turn, it seems like centrifugal force when cornering could be an issue on a Spyder. As in going around a corner a little faster than expected and being thrown off of the Spyder mid...

    Spyder vs Georgia State Patrol

I think he underestimated: 1. The performance of his vehicle 2. His riding skill

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

No joke, just inexperience on Spyders talking. Hoping it is really easy to ride by comparison.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Yeah, I feel like I'll need a lot of parking lot time with this thing trying to figure out how to do slow speed maneuvers without a clutch lever.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

lol, that wouldn't be a problem. I've done my fair share of track racing on two wheels :)

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Starting to wonder if that might be the play here. Just get her her own Spyder and I stick to two wheels.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Thanks, its sounding more and more like the RT Limited is the one for me. Yeah, I'm a little nervous about the test ride tomorrow. I REALLY like having a clutch and front brake lever, especially for low speed maneuvers. I've ridden off pavement on motorcycles quite a bit as well and have my...

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

I found a 2022 CAN AM Spyder Roadster F3T for sale by owner. Is that similar to a RT Limited in terms of two up riding?

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Thanks for all of the info so far. We're definitely focused on 2020 and newer RT's at this point. I read the F3's sit more like a cruiser bike, which is not where I come from. All the bikes I've owned are more upright seating. So it sounds like the RT's ergos and extra storage might be what...

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Hmm, I don't see a lot of used F3's for sale, at least not ones that are configured for two up. Seems to be a lot of RT's in this area.

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Yeah, the test drive Thursday will answer a few questions. She's unsure if she wants to ride at all, but thinks if she did ride, she'd want to be on one of the RT's. We're about to find out :)

2020 and newer it is, thanks!

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Thanks. I called one of them and asked about this class and they said if I already have an M endorsement on my license that much of it would be a waste of my time/money as it is prepping riders with zero experience for their restricted M endorsement. Interesting to learn that taking that class...

Considering a Spyder - Can I Ask You Some Questions?

Hi, I'm not new to the forum. Apparently, I joined 16 years ago when I was looking at a Spyder back then. I did a test ride that scared me off. Since then I got my motorcycle license back in 2018 and have done 65,000+ miles on motorcycles now including multi-day/state trips and such. So not...

Some Questions from a Potential New Buyer

Hey guys, I went and test drove the Spyder this evening and as fun as it was, its not for me. I'm fairly sure if something whipped out in front of me and I had to make an emergency turn on that thing that I would come flying off the side. And with a daughter that I still have to support, I...

Some Questions from a Potential New Buyer

Has anyone performed their riding test to get their motorcycle license/endorsement on their Spyder? Was this allowed?

What do you wear when you ride your Spyder?

Probably sounds like a funny question, but as a complete newb I'm not sure what all to wear. Looking in the Texas DPS Motorcycle Handbook, it says this: • Jacket and pants should cover arms and legs completely. They should fit snugly enough to keep from flapping in the wind, yet loosely...

Some Questions from a Potential New Buyer

I found a dealer today that allows test drives. Hopefully going to give it a whirl this weekend. Thanks again for all the info.
