• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does anyone have/recommend any Universal fit soft saddle bags on the Ryker

I modded my old Tiger 800XC pannier brackets to fit my soft luggage. Works pretty well, I wouldn't trust hanging them on the max mount, especially two of them.

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

Haven't been able to get out of late so thought it best to buy a second Rally to keep 'Blackie' company.

    Ryker turning left Issues

Seeing how BRP allegedly upgraded MY22+ Rykers, they are surely aware of the problem. Has anyone gone to them directly with a query? I ask this because I went to head office over the fuel pump recall, and whilst not entirely happy with the outcome, they did listen and provided me with some...

    Ryker turning left Issues

Sorry to hear you're having these hassles again Sarah. Can only think of eliminating the the usual suspects again - wheel alignment; balance; tire pressure; tire wear; even worn sway bar linkages, especially if you have the stock plastic ones. I know you'll ferret out the solution with you're...

Thought the wife was going to kill me - I bought a new Ryker

@Raven, got a picture of the Rally for us?

My Ryker 900 always leaks at the oil filter cap - what's going on?

Being it is so close to a bolt it is likely there is a crack around the bolt housing or the bolt has been cross threaded and not tight enough. Have you checked the torque is still in spec? (If it's cross threaded, it may torque correctly, but then loosen...) For that much of a leak, I would...

Any Way to disable VSS/Traction control or severely dumb it down?

By leaving the engine turned off, you will not only disable VSS, but you'll also ensure that you won't face plant... Win win, when ya think about it.

    Check your backrest bolts

not necessarily, the backrest bracket looked like it was recessed enough to take a locking nut.

    Check your backrest bolts

I wonder if it's possible to reverse those bolts? That way you wont have the sharp end of the bolt inside the box to scratch up your helmet.

On a Trail Rating System, I believe a Canyon Redrock can travel Level 2 Routes

You can carry plenty of gear on a Ryker; if you need to take a passenger along with every creature comfort in order to camp, then a Canyon might be a better choice. My point is that you aren't going to get it much further off road than a Rally, but you will pay twice the price for the...

On a Trail Rating System, I believe a Canyon Redrock can travel Level 2 Routes

Personally, I don't see a lot of off pavement advantage in any of the Canyons beyond higher ground clearance. Unless you're after more tech options and a bigger motor... all of which you are going to pay handsomely for. What is the advantage of a Canyon over a Ryker Rally? Neither of them are...

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

Those questions are a poison chalice... they are a case of seek and you will find. If you ask for problems you'll always get the most dire responses, so then what do you do? Hope there are more positive responses to rule out the bad ones?!? If the reasons you want a Ryker are considered, then...

Water depth for fording a river for Can Am Spyder Canyon

Unless it's hard pack below the waterline I would be giving water crossings a BIG miss. Having gotten my Rally stuck in loose gravel (no water) it isn't fun trying to move it and the Canyon is a lot heavier than a Ryker Rally,

2022 Ryker Sport Fuel Tank Cover - How to Remove?

Page 74 of the service repair manual shows a picture of the tank cover. It has two tabs that pinch fit onto the tank. My guess is that once you have removed any button clips holding it in place, it should pull off. It might require a firm yank though, Ryker panels can be tricky to remove the...

    My Ryker Rally Adventure Thread

Just wanted to leave an update on how my steering damper is going. Since fitting I have had very little (if any) issues with strong cross winds pushing the rally off line. It's now way more stable on both sealed but particularly unsealed surfaces. I guess because the steering isn't nearly as...
