• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

“Mini-Carport” shelter for outdoor Spyder storage - what's available?

Looking for a good mini-carport-like solution for storing my Spyder outside. I’ll be moving soon and will no longer be able to keep it inside a garage. Does anyone have experience with or know of some kind of small shelter that I could buy?
I’d like to have more protection than a plastic bike cover (which I already have).
Does such a thing even exist?

Have tou considered the “portable garage”? A few years afo they used to go on “Special Sale” for around a hundred bucks. I haven’t been looking for a few years now, so have no idea how much they are now.

I had a 12x12 ShelterLogic. Fit my RT perfectly with plenty of room to tinker on it, load it up for a trip, etc. About $400 MSRP although you can probably find one on sale for less. I would have kept it but I've got crappy neighbors (long story). I bolted it to my concrete pad. Woodaddict and I put it up in about 3 hours, I think.

Check Harbor Freight. They have a 10'x17' on sale this weekend for $199. It is supposed to be comparable to ShelterLogic. I am actually thinking about one for myself.

Shelter Logic hands down is the best brand for portable shelters.
I had a garage in a box version, 12x24 that I stored my snowmobiles in for 6 yrs. in the NYS ADK snowbelt. It had 2 ft of snow on it many times in that period. I had to use 5 2x4's to prop the center rib to support the weight it was not designed for, and it held up when I still was working until the weekend came and I could clean it off until I was able to bring in an Amish prefab garage.
I was impressed that not made for heavy snow shelter held up that long. Friend has a heavy duty one still going strong up there for 10 yrs. now.

Bike Barn?

Thanks everyone. I'm very interested in the Bike Barn solution. Anyone else have experience with it? Want to make sure the 2021 RTL will fit in it.

I posted the Bike Barn link above and if you look at my signature you will see I have a 2021 RTL and it fits perfectly fine in it.

Buy a 10X10 Tuff Shed, put in your own insulation and keep it in there safe from others eyes and weather. I used one for years when
I lived in a trailer park I had it next to my mobile home in the driveway in front of the car.

Have you considered a small storage shed? Wood construction, shingled roof, wood floor, and most are built to be moveable on 6x6's, color match to your house if ya wanna too. There are so many different shapes and sizes available now days. Then you'd have additional storage for any other outdoor tools that you'd rather not have in a garage (lawnmower, trimmer, gas cans, gardening stuff etc...) I have a 10x12 with shelving in it. I don't keep the Spyder in it, but I do keep a ton of other stuff in there.
