• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Albino buck controversy: Death threats to child, 11, rally Michigan hunters to boy's

This could be a controversial type of topic.

I have heard of some kinds of animals being considered as sacred when they are albino. EG: Albino Buffalo.

He did that animal a FAVOR!
Being an albino; it lacked the coloration necessary to hide from predators. (Obviously!)
This animal would have been killed and eaten pretty quickly! :2thumbs:

i once saw a albino doe and i had a permit to take a doe but let her go, everyone i told about it would say i would of shot her. but i think this is stupid

We've had "piebald"deer up by me. (Not a complete albino, but a LOT of white coloration.)
Never had one in my sights, but no hesitation If I did...

I googled "albino deer" and there are many pictures showing kills in both MI and WI. It sees to be very commonplace, so I don't know what the big deal is. :dontknow:

bob that might be one that i saw, she was not really white, but enough for me to call her albino

Venison is venison... :agree:

Now you got me thinking we should go to Jen's tonight. Have not been there for awhile.

How about?

Juniper berry and sage crusted Deer loin with caramelized Brussel sprouts, apples and hazelnuts over a red currant and brandy sauce. 32.00

I had deer last night but if there's room at the table I'd like
Pan seared Kodiak Scallops over butternut squash puree with crispy prosciutto and fried sage leaves. 36.00.

If it was a 12 point Buck like the article says it has lived quite a while Bob ans was not in any more danger than a normal deer. Just saying. If anyone is to blame it is the Father.

Jack

who said blame? the young man did nothing wrong...
yes; that deer was probably 4 or more more years old...

... But the odds were stacked against him.
After all; he WAS taken!
