Anyone experimented with Windshield extensions?

I wonder if any of you have experimented with windshield extensions.
I don't know what else to do; my F3 came with the Blue Ridge screen, which in my case provided no solution to helmet buffeting.
Soon enough I installed a 7Jurock windshield, 27", the buffeting diminished somewhat but it is still annoying at anything over 60/65 mph, at 75/80 I get blurred vision. I can deal with the noise but blurred vision is another matter altogether. Leaning forward a bit and lowering my head 3/4" makes everything quiet and smooth but it's very uncomfortable.
I use a good quality, good fitting full face helmet and as I sit on the F3, I'm looking 4/5 in" above the top of the windshield. That's how I want it, I don't want to look through it.
I am not a fan of the looks of an extension, but would not care it it helped a good amount. This is driving me nuts, I've been riding for years and never experienced buffeting of this magnitude, simply no fun.
Granted, all my previous rides were sport bikes, those speeds or higher were never an issue but I know... different riding position.
Any help, suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Following this post.
I have tried 7Jurock (17") windshield and CalSci (12.5") both sized to
be 2" below my nose. Heavy buffeting starts a 60 mph.
Still looking for improvement.

Been riding legally since 1979 and had a bunch of rides. Tried all manner of screens and screen extensions. Come to the conclusion that looking over the screen = some wind / buffeting. Dont want the wind and dont want to look through well im not sure thats possible. I came off a Goldwing with a 3XL F4 screen. Used it for over a decade. Had some stone chips, otherwise clear and scratch free. First thing I sorted on my new to me F3 was the wind. I fitted up a 3XL F4 screen with the winglets

Works great at any speed. FWIW im a 3XL Smurf at 6'2".

A vented screen works for me and my passenger at any speed. The wind screen creates a low-pressure area where you are. A vent moves this low-pressure area and its associated buffeting up and back. There are adjustable vents for sale on e bay. You do have to cut the opening, but I did not find it difficult at all.

Ditto with the MRA X-Creen. 2 years and over 23,000 miles now still going strong. Cured the buffeting with the Blue Ridge windshield and now I'm using it with a Madstad windshield.

Thanks everyone, the pictures were very helpful.
I've decided to get an extension from eBay or Amazon as DGoebel did. I hope it'll perform as well for me. If it doesn't, I'll vent the screen, one of these solutions better work because I don't want to give up on the F3.
I'll post soon with results.

Look forward to your results.

I am 6'3" so I added one (sorry about the low quality picture inside my garage) with low expectations. My intent was a cheap (~$20) way to determine if a higher windshield would help. But it far exceeded my expectations and I am quite pleased with the results.

I'm 6'1" and installed one just like yours, what a difference: rode for about 60 miles at up to 90 mph( I know, sorry...), after some minor tweaking with the height and angle, it eliminated all the buffeting. I'm still not a fan of how it looks, but it's function over form and I'll get used to it. For anyone on the fence about adding an extension, go for it; it's not a lot of money, ~$30 and it can adjusted or removed in seconds.

I added a cheap Amazon extension, works for me.

Goldfire Universal Motorcycle Windshield Extension.

Still some buffeting but not near as much and the wind noise is much less.

Do you have to look through this? Would this help take the wind off the passenger.

I look just the over the top of mine, took a few tries but it's working well. Once in while I find myself looking through it but it's not bad with very little distortion.
My wife never complained about excessive wind before the extension and hasn't ridden since I installed it, so I can't comment on that situation. I think it's safe to expect that it will be the same or better than before.

Don't mess around just go to the original
https://www.laminarlip.com

I'm with Dave on this one (and a bunch of other things as well).

I have the RT limited, so the windshield is adjustable, but I remember adding a Laminar Lip to my ST1100, and it worked wonders
I could still see over the shield and the wind was pushed over my head.

Except for a bad knee, I miss that bike.

I bought a $18 dark gray extension on ebay for my 14" Madstad. It's working good. Had it up to 80mph with no issues.
