• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Best way to sell my Spyder RT SE6

Because of medical reasons I have to sell my 2016 RTSE6. Can you advise me on the best way to list this. Thanks so much, Peter.

I would start locally, advertise in any of the trade papers, Craigslist, ect, like that, then maybe you can get some one close that can come over and drive it away, no shipping and handling! That don't work then reach out further! Good luck!! Sorry to hear you have to set it aside!!

Make a post on SL for sure. The "magic" price is between trade-in and private party sale. Farkles worth little to nothing. Most of those looking on SL...know their prices and recognize a good deal.

I just sold a bike using Cycle Trader, very reasonable charge. Sold for asking price in two days and had over 20 inquiries. This is the second time I have used them and same luck on first one.

I took my Gold Wing trike to a local dealer on consignment. Yes, he got some of the sale money but it was worth it to me not to have to deal with Joe Public coming to my house and then low-balling the price. The dealer put it on Cycle Trader and got what he asked for it… surprised me…. I thought the asking price too high for quick action but it did sell very quickly and the dealer handled the whole thing… sent me a nice check…easy peazy.

Flood the internet; Craig's List, Cycle Trader, Facebook, etc. Advertise it as potential "fly & ride" with offer to pick up at the airport. That should be a given but the offer gets you a little extra consideration.

Be reasonable on your price based on current sales elsewhere.

Include some good pictures in your ads, but not too many. Make sure they are properly oriented (not turned sideways) and not too far away. Remember your potential buyers want to see just your Spyder not half the block where you live. Fill the frame with the Spyder.

I used Marketplace on Facebook. I sold all my motorcycles , cars and boats on this site. Quick responses and some items sold in 24 hours.
