• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

brake failure code

Try adding 1-3 tablespoons of fluid to both reservoirs, see if that "fixes" the problem.

Brake failure scrolls across my panel from time to time, will go away when I refresh fluids and bleed brakes over the winter.

Brake Failure message with a C1282 code has nothing to do with brake fluid level. That is a low pressure fault. It can only be reset with BUDS or a short procedure by the operator. Make sure the key has been turned off for more than 30 seconds. Turn on the ignition key. Wait for the screen to finish booting up. Press the brake pedal hard enough to activate the low pressure switch. If you have good hearing it will be the 2nd click. While holding the brake pedal down. Turn the ignition key off and wait 30 seconds. Release the brake pedal.

So how did you get a low pressure fault. A leak in the brake system? Bad fluid?

Ok that explains it. You pushed in the rear brake caliper piston. Then the first time you press the brake pedal is with the key on. The pedal traveled too far before the rear brake circuit pressured up. Next time press the brake pedal a couple times until it firms up before you turn on the key.

Agree...

:agree: was my next thought...always start with the last thing you did or happened....
