There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. Brands of Injector Cleaner not to be used in BRP Fuel System?

Just completed a 1200km trip and think my '17 RTL could do with some injector cleaner. I don't know if BRP have their techs add any at specific service intervals but with my RTL at 64000kms I think it needs it.

I recall many moons ago (1980's/90's) of a product that didn't play nicely the fuel lines made of certain materials, or after market fuel filters whose casing was bonded with a certain goo, in each case the collected material was delivered nicely into your injector. Poor atomization was no longer a problem cause the injectors blocked completely. As much fun as this sounds to experience I'd rather pass on this experience :)

Are there any brands of injector cleaner that you guys know of that shouldn't be used in the Spyder fuel system, alternatively are there any your recommend?

I have used Berryman's B12, Startron. and Marvel Mystery Oil (for top end lube) and had good success with all of them.
I just noticed you are in Australia ,so I don't know if any of these are available there.

Have used Lucas product for many years and no issues. Available at Repco and other distributors here in OZ.

cheers

I would not have any worry's about using about anything, if they work in cars, it's fine for your bike! I use Seafoam, Techron, Amsoil!

Old video but looks like Castrol make this stuff or did.
Whatever they hang some crap on some of the opposition so if true wouldn't use any of them.:yikes:
I use it in my outboard, mower, chainsaws etc with no ill effects but mainly for the long term storage protection it offers.
Never had an injector problem in various bikes cars etc so haven't seen the need to use it for that reason.
Water in fuel can be cleared with a dose of methylated spirits if needed so I've used that before.

I have used Techron for many years. Wally World sells their own that is made by STP, also good stuff. In head to head testing. The Yamaha Fuel Med came out on top. No, I don't have the link. Basically use what is easiest to obtain. Tom :spyder:
