• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Anybody have the hard copy the the BRP Hitch wiring harness instructions? Hitch is installed just looking for Help with the wiring!

Thanks

Wiring Harness

I don't have the diagram, but if you look at the schematics on BRP it is pretty easy to follow. My issue was, I have 2010 Trailer and a new 2014 RT. The new wiring hook-up does not work for older trailers, had to have the dealer re-wire new harness with big plug adapter on old harness. Haven't had a chance to test it out yet.

You don't need to rewire, just cut off the old connector and only use the 4 wires needed for running, left, right and brake lights.

How is your French? My harness instructions were grainy photos and instructions in French. I have them if you want to PM me. The wiring is a lot simpler than it looks .Took about 15 minutes to run the wires.

The BRP hitch comes with "plug and play" wiring harness. The hardest part is removing all the rear panels to gain access to plug it in. If your not using the BRP wiring it will be harder to figure out.

I have a factory hitch from my 2010. Had it put on my 2014. Bought the 2014 harness they are expensive. ( Seems like they change them every year. My 2010 was a 9 pin.) This year they went to a basic 4 wire/ four pin. but it is not the flat kind. so I took my 4 pin and spliced it to the new harness.

Harness

I have the BRP wiring harness! But it sure doesn't seem plug and play to me if you don't know which plug goes where! I don't think I'm a stupid person, well maybe after this. I haven't torn off the panels yet but looking at the harness my biggest question is where does the Electronic Power Taillight converter go? And where does it plug into? I've done a Headlight conversion, Ron's swaybar and change own oil but this is the worst set of or should I say lack of instructions I've ever seen! Especially at $500.00

There is no BRP wiring harness to convert the 2010 9 pin to a 4 pin square. Look under the front of the trailer where the tongue attaches to the frame and you'll find a single connector. The 2011+ trailers have 2 connectors at this point and the harness is plug and play, not so for the 2010.
