Can anyone tell me the difference between a 2020 and a 2021 Ryker Rally

Good Morning Everyone!

I am a new member, and potentially a new CanAm rider. While I am new to three-wheel riding, I am not new to two-wheel riding. I have been riding for about six years. I want to ride two-up, but for some reason, lack the skills, or the bike to do so effectively. So I am going to buy a Ryker Rally.

I have two options: a 2021 brand new Ryker Rally for $11.5k or a used 2020 for 11k with 700 miles on it, which has some of the options I would have added to the brand new one. Can anyone give me the difference between the two model years?

I don't want to pay the depreciation on the 2021 so I am leaning towards the used one. If anyone has any information that I can make a decision would be great!

I am not sure about any differences, but I would not pay $11k for a used one. If you do decide to take a closer look at the used one, check to see how much warranty is left. The original warranty started the moment that it was put in service. That could make a difference.

There are no differences between the two years. If the 2020 is coming with some of the options and it only has 700 miles on it then I would go for the 2020. Make sure its up to date with any recalls and such. I would also get the 3 year warranty on it as well, and I would get that through iMotorsports as it seems to be the best price.

As a comparison, I have a 2019 Rally with passenger seat and backrest and I paid around 13k out the door.

Thank you. I didn't think about asking about the warranty. I just assumed that it had expired. I will look into the extended warranty. I usually get them when I make a car purchase.

I told the dealership about the recall and the salesman stated that they would take care of it.

The warranty would make a difference, as I currently have a $1,400 price difference with the new and used bike. The cost of the new Ryker is 11,578, but with all of the accessories I wanted that the used one has would be $12,155. The used one out the door was $10,700.

I am going this weekend to look at the used one and I will ask more questions.

See if the dealer will throw in the BEST warranty. I bought a new holdover 2018 RTL about a year ago. Since the OEM warranty was just about to expire, the dealer threw in the BEST warranty. I traded it off before I needed it but it was nice to know it was there. Since some dealers (think iMotorsports) sells it for $671, I'm guessing dealer cost is somewhere around 1/2 of that.

I agree 11K is to much for a 2020. I just bought a 2020 Ryker Rally for $8500 with 700 miles on it. I see them for anywhere between 9500 and 10500 especially from individuals. Check Market Place on facebook. Good luck.

Ditto on the used price recommendations. I picked up a 2020 test ride rally for 10200 with new warranty and 120 miles on it. As for the recalls, don’t take anyone’s word for anything, they’re done or not done and personally I wouldn’t lay out a cent without the recalls done. Really just the wheel nuts and you can see if that’s done. Make sure the steering is tight and straight. Good luck!

There’s a 20 new rally in IL for $10,600 all in plus tax / title.

No idea why you’d pay $11,000 for used 20 w no warranty

I’d want that warranty to sort it out if needed.

the 21 does have a few small changes... NVH in the CVT reduced 20%, they added a fuel cap, the axle tubes have caps covering the rusty bits... there may be more that I dont know about.

Keep in mind if the factory warranty is expired, you can't get the 3 year BEST extended warranty.
