Has anyone repalced their RT seat with a Corbin seat? Is there that much of a difference? More comfort?

I have a brand new one with heat and drivers backrest for sale $700 with the matching passenger backrest. Black with black stitching in the web pattern. PM me if interested I can send pics.
We bought the passenger armrests right after we got our 2012 RT a&c in May this year, and before we got back from the BMWRA rally in Copper Mountain Co, we noticed the piping is coming apart and the fabric split on the drivers side arm rest. I called Corbin and emailed them back and forth they said talk to the dealer I got it from, I did they said Corbin told them I better wait till riding season is over because it's liable to take awhile. Wife doesn't feel comfortable riding without it, she's used to teh sidecar is why I got them to begin with. I had my dealer send the defective one back almost a month ago, still no word about it. tried calling corbin 3 times today put on hold hung up on twice, bottom line is Corbins CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS! I think I'm just gonna send the left one back and request a refund. I'll never deal with a company that thinks I spend over $350 (with installation) for a defective product that allows them to waste my time. :banghead:

I've had the the Corbin RT on my '10 RT-S for over 17 months. Great investment. The stock seat is just that: A seat. The Corbin, however, is orthopedically correct. I have the 'SilverSurfer cut' ... meaning, I sent them my height, weight, inseam, and even measured around my butt. It supports you, instead of the soft, mushy stock seat with the bolster that always had me a bit too far forward. In addition, I most value the back rest, which for some weird reason, BRP has not seen fit to make an integral component of even the upgraded 'comfort seat' on the '11s and '12s; and also the fuel door. I travel with a tour bag and it's bliss to not have to off-load the tour bag [and raise the seat] for fueling. As with any seat, however, the Corbin is not bullet proof to distance riding. You can ride a lot further in one sitting on a Corbin by itself, but I still begin to get a bit numb in the rump at about 300 miles. I've tried an Alaska Sheep skin ... well, it gives the Corbin a 'carpeted' feeling, but that's about it. Next, I got a Butt Buffer ... a little better, but naahhh. Alas the cure: Airhawk -- the panacea for high mileage numb bum and monkey butt.
The Corbin does require care. About every eight weeks, I clean and dress the leather with a good leather cleaner and conditioner.
